I AM RUTH DEVOTIONAL- DAY 17- THE QUEST FOR PEACE/Rashea@LLO2 Academy
Peace is as the calm in the mornings early dawn. Birds sing in harmony in the trees above. Boarding, I skate to the pace and the pulse of peace in the chill of the mornings dawn.
Jesus said, I give you My peace (rest from toil & tranquility in spirit, soul and body). It is a peace not as the world offers. It is a peace that surpasses the human understanding. It is a peace that protects your heart and mind from the friction and distress of this world (Isaiah 26:3; John 14:27).
Peace is a state of rest, ease, calm and tranquility. Moreover, peace is a place, a space and an environment. There are some places, spaces and environments that have more peace than others. I like those kinds of places, spaces and environments.π€
I love to laugh, hang out with family and friends from time to time, but after dealing with the hustle and bustle of the day all day, I love being in a place, a space and an environment of calm and peace where there is no judgment, no expectations, no pressure and no conflict. A place, a space & an environment where I am free to breathe and be my quiet, reflective and giggly self.π€.
I truly believe that God allows certain events to happen in our lives so that we don't get comfortable in just enough and mediocrity. Sometimes God allows a level of friction to get us to move in the direction of more faith, more peace, more space and more good success.
You cannot flourish beyond your diameters. And sometimes, when you know that there is more in you and in front of you, then what's behind you to accomplish, your present space just seems too small, causing a level of uneasiness and discomfort. Sometimes, the only choice we have is to launch out into the deep or to walk on the waters of the unknown in order to find peace in life and in Christ.
I always say... Being still never implied doing nothing. As God is working on your behalf you still have to move actively and courageously in the will of God. Peace is found taking steps in the direction of Christ will for your life. Peace is in your momentous steps to purpose. Peace is in the glimmers of the unknown of what's next.
