I AM RUTH DEVOTIONAL- DAY 20... THE ONLY OPTION IS FORWARD/Rashea@LLO2 Academy

She is not a novice nor is she a notion. The sum of her worth is not in what she has achieved or what she has but rather what she is purposed to do.

Here angle?
Forward.

Her mission?
Fortitude.

Her Vision?
Faith in the God that will not and cannot fail her.

Naomi heard, arose and returned to Bethlehem-Judah.

Again. Naomi heard, arose and returned to Bethlehem-Judah.

Why?
The famine was over and the abundance of the Lord was once again over the land (Ruth 1:6).

In order to go anywhere there has to be an exiting out of somewhere. You cannot go anywhere if you are tied to your somewhere.πŸ‘€

So we can read Ruth 1:6 like this. Naomi heard and arose from her somewhere to return back to Bethlehem-Judah.

Now. I am not implying that you return back to a place or a state of life that God delivered you from. What I am implying is that you cannot receive the new thing stuck in an old mindset, heart set or state of life.

In order for Naomi to go to Bethlehem-Judah she first had to change her mindset. She was in a state of Mara (bitter of soul) (Ruth 1:20). That was an emotional state that she was feeling in the moment of suffering heartache and loss.

Furthermore, this lets us know that although we can feel one way, we CAN still make a conscious decision to do the right thing. After years of life experiences, Naomi knew that her feelings would eventually align to her mindset to do what was best for her and that was to move forward.

And over time... life got better for Naomi and Ruth, but it took a conscious decision to hear, to arise and to leave from the state of life she was in.
