IT'S ME; THE CALLING OF A PROPHET/Rashea@LLO2 Academy
You are chosen before you are called; called before you are ordained; ordained before you are sent. "SAMUEL. SAMUEL.
SAMUEL." Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him (Jesus) as He is (1John 3:2).
Was not Jesus indeed a Prophet among us? Was Samuel walking in the very image and likeness of God the Son? Jesus is not only the First Born of many sons and daughters but the First Born of many prophets.
For Eli, too, was a prophet of Israel who proceeded Samuel the prophet. He was by then an older man who saw many stages of Israel's growth and the many battles they fought while becoming and being a nation called to God. Samuel, unlike Eli, was but a youth, some say he was just a boy.
But did the youth of Samuel intimidate God? Did the youth of Samuel hinder the call of God on his life? Was the call of Samuel traditional or would it be considered unorthodox?π€
Ordained and called while fast asleep? "Samuel. Samuel. Samuel (1Samuel 3)." Is that not strange?
A lot was not picked. A horn of oil was not poured. Just God, and "Samuel. Samuel. Samuel."π€
For we should tremble at how we deem an orthodox ordination to be. At home? Asleep? A boy? "Samuel. Samuel. Samuel."π€
For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways My ways, declares the LORD.
neither are your ways My ways, declares the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are My ways higher than your ways
and My thoughts than your thoughts. -Isaiah 55:8-9
so are My ways higher than your ways
and My thoughts than your thoughts. -Isaiah 55:8-9
A BOY? Surely you made a mistake God. A BOY? But he is not yet FIT for such a role? A BOY? Dear God... are you set out to mock us?
A boy.
Was Samuel just a boy? OR was he a prophet who would one day become a great man and leader who would lead the nation of Israel to God for many years? You see... People see with the natural eyes, but God sees in the spirit. People see present circumstances, but God sees BEYOND your circumstances and sees concealed purpose and potential that can change your circumstance. People see through the lens of years, age, accolades and experience, but God sees the end from the beginning.
And God told Jeremiah, another young prophet called by God, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations (Jeremiah 1:5).” You see... Jeremiah was already set apart (sanctified) and appointed by God to do the will of God.
UNORTHODOX ASSIGNMENTS. Some would say it was BLASPHEMY!π€ But who are we to argue with God?
Although being skilled in your callling and purpose is useful, you do not have to be skilled to be anointed and appointed by God. Although Paul went away for a few years to grow in his faith and purpose, the Bible says that immediately after his conversion, he begin sharing his faith and testimony of God's goodness with others. What the church fails to realize is that being a witness for Christ is different than walking in your assignment. You can share your faith with others immediately, but moving more effectively in your purpose while in the faith requires a greater level of skill coupled with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Some people are baffled by the many things that I have come to know but have never went to college to learn nor attended seminary to obtain. Well. As I have shared in times past, GOD taught me all that I have come to know and teach over the years.
He tells me how to study and where to go for answers when I need them. As I spend time with Jesus, I am growing and becoming more knowledgeable of God, myself and the world around me. (John 16:13-16). Over time, the Holy Spirit drew out of me the potential that was inside of me, empowering me to teach and to share the gospel of Jesus and inspire the world.ππ
"SAMUEL. SAMUEL. SAMUEL." An unorthodox assignment. An unorthodox anointing.ππ
I cannot explain my gifts. I just know that I have them. They are God given and Christ centered to heal the nations around the world with the love and hope of Jesus.
God said in 1Corinthians 1 says, "20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 31 so that, as it is written, "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord."
Do you know what the cloud represented in this lesson today? The GLORY OF GOD. After Moses encountered the glory of God, in Exodus 34, he was literally transformed. The Bible says, "He ascended up on the mountain of God with God and was covered in the Cloud of God (the Glory of God). When he came down from the mountain of God, his countenance was literally radiant with God's light (glory)."
So. I ask you. Who are we to disqualify who we deem uncertified for the role of leading a nation of people? Who some deem just a boy or girl, ordinary or uncertified, God has already anointed, purposed and promoted beyond your own agendas, timing and requirements for the role. "SAMUEL. SAMUEL. SAMUEL."
