WALKING AWAY FROM CONFLICT BUT NOT PURPOSE/Rashea@LLO2 Academy
Being the bigger person isn't always the easiest thing to do, but it is the wisest thing to do. Jesus discusses the reality of conflict in John 16:33. "You are going to have it."🤭 You are. However, take courage. Jesus has already gone ahead of you, and because He has overcome conflict, you can too.
Facing conflict can conflict with our inner calm, sending us into a funnel of uneasiness. When this happens, and it will, don't panic. Pull back from the conflict and press into God. God will then show you the right way to deal with the conflict and resolve it.
I am an introvert by nature. That means I analyze life inwardly most times. When in a conflicting situation, I see the external conflict, but I turn inwardly, searching for the answers from within instead of around me.
Doing so is actually a really good thing, but it still can have its own conflict, if not channeled with balance and reflection. Turning within means that I am aware of God, and God is aware of me. I see the conflict. I answer the conflict, but I do so by leaning on Jesus first.
Learning to adapt to life requires learning how to overcome conflict. "Don't do life alone," I hear people say. STOP.🤚🛑
I say, dare to do life alone when your values and dreams are in jeopardy. Dare to do life alone, until God brings the right people into your life to do life with. Everyone who tries to link up with you doesn't always have the right motives. Moreover, some people are really good people, but you just don't gel or your mission is different.
Be one with your intuition. When something isn't right or you are constantly clashing with someone or something, don't ignore that. Those are signs that conflict is up the road which can cause unnecessary drama.
Make peace with the past, but remember the past cannot come with you into the future. Too much time has lapsed and things have changed. Hold onto the lesson but remember there is a blessing in letting go.
Carry on the legacy, but know that now you are the new wave of the legacy. Dare to do life differently. Don't be afraid to critique the vision.
The blue print is still workable, but the gadgets are out of date. What might have worked in one season or at one time may not be workable in the present. Be willing to update yourself on new ways of doing things and where the culture as headed.
Pull wisdom and experience from those who have already succeeded at success, but don't undermine your own ingenuity and road to success. You are building your own legacy and honoring the legacy of others who have gone before you when you culturize and maximize the impact of legacy and the new wave of constructing and strategizing with modern day impact. Impacting the new wave of culture is not forcing the old into the new but forging the emergence of what was the beginning with what is now in motion.
