You first means you are my priority. It means you are a necessity not an option. It says you mean more to me than what fights for my attention.

You first doesn't imply the neglect of oneself. You first implies I value the well being of my soulmate first. I sacrificially think of their well being before my own in accordance to God's will and Word.

You first doesn't build a wedge or resentment. Putting your partner or soulmate first brings you closer together as a couple and as the best of friends. It deepens your trust in one another and your connection. Your soulmate is the other half of you that makes you a whole person. 

I am not communicating that you are not a whole person already,🤭 but they complete you. Their strengths make up for the areas you are weak or not as strong in. They perfect your more than not.

You first is a decision. You first communicates your commitment to your spouse or partner. It says to them, "I want to put your first." Your needs and desires are important to me.

In a way, their needs and desires become your own. Their needs and desires become apart of you to a certain extent, because they are apart of you. You feel compelled to see them happy.

Putting your spouse or partner first implies, "I want you to be happy." I am here to serve you. No. Not in an inferior or oppressive way but a servant leader way.

What does that mean? It means I know who I am. I know my purpose, but I want to help you to fulfill your purpose the best way that I can. So. How can I help you do that?

Some spouses or partners help around the house more or help launch a vision. Some workout with their partner or spouse. Others help run errands or just sit down to listen a while. 

There are many helpful ways to show your spouse or partner their dreams and happiness matters to you. Even challenging your own comforts and capacity to show them how much they mean to you. You first simply says, "Sweetheart, I love you more!" I do.🤗♥️💕
