The way of Jesus is one of selfless denial of self... Self ambition, self entitlement and self preservation. The Way of Jesus is a selfless life. It is a life of obedience to God and selfless service to Him. "Not my will but Your Will be done, Father God." 

That's tough at times, but it is the way of Jesus. Is God asking us not to care about ourselves? No.😂 God wants us to take care of ourselves, but He does not want us to put our lives, ambitions, dreams or goals above Him and what He wants for us.

So why does God do certain things or allow certain things? I have no idea. Some things God does or allows is beyond me in the moment, but we do come to understand by and by.

Do you trust and believe that God actually wants better for you than you want for yourself? Well, you should, because He does. But God's way comes with putting your full confidence in Him above yourself, others and what you feel it takes for you to be successful.

God will not fail you, even when we fall and other's fail us. God will come through for you. He will. 

However, God not failing you doesn't mean that He won't sharpen you as you follow Him to success. Character. Commodities never trumps good character with Jesus. He will fix whatever is wrong in your life and within you along the way, so that when you finally make it to your destination you can handle the level of blessing and success that He has prepared for you to receive and achieve.
