Continue the Journey Ahead/Rashea@LLO2 Academy

Continue on in your journey. Adjust. And keep moving forward.

What is forward exactly? Forward is thoughts, actions and endeavours that progress away from the past. Forward is to proceed ahead toward the future and a new destination.

Forgetting what was, I move forward to obtain what is yet before me (Philippians 3:12-14). Life is not behind you. Those are memories. Life is always looking ahead.

Stay in the now. Stay in the present. Live in today.

So often people are physically present but mentally absent. Their thoughts are in the past, and because they are in the past they cannot mentally and emotionally enjoy life as it is now.

That can be a miserable way to live. When you loathe over the past you not only stunt your own growth... You make others around your miserable. Who wants to live in the past?πŸ™„πŸ’ Not a good idea.

When Joshua was still grieving over Moses passing, "God personally told him to get it together, and stop dwelling on the past." Moses passing wasn't Joshua's fault (Deuteronomy 34; Joshua 1:1-2).

God wasn't being insensitive. God knew the problems that unresolved grief could cause in Joshua's life, his leadership and the lives of those he led. Unresolved grief can affect your physical and spiritual health. It can also impact how you think and what you think about. It can impact your motivations for life and efforts in life.

Depression is real. Ask God for help when you are dealing with grief, disappointment, pressure or discouragement. I know there are times where I had to ask God to help me with private grief and stress, because it was draining me and causing stress in my body.

When you are overtaken by anything... Run to God. He will help you and bring you to a place of peace, love, life and joy again. Stress and depression is not of God. It is from the devil. God tells us to come to Him when we are angry, confused, in pain, sad or when we need a sense of direction. He promises to give us rest and to bring us to a good and predestined end of good things.

Continue on in your journey. Adjust. And keep moving forward.
