Time, seasons and cycles of what? Times, seasons and cycles of blessing, creativity, ingenuity, insight and progress. 

God has not given us the spirit of laziness or lack. Toiling, as a Christian, is not your portion. According to Genesis 8:22, God has freely made available and supplied seedtime and harvest, seasons and cycles for all.

These are all blessings that come throughout each year. It is up to us to work the land and the plan that God has for our lives. Everyone has seed, we are all given time, but the question is what are you doing with your seed and your time? 

We cannot expect a harvest, when we fail to sow the seed at the appropriate time and in the right season. Winter is a time where the land is at rest. If you sow your seed in the winter time expecting a harvest... You will not get any use out of it, because it's not the proper season to sow. 

Sow in the spring and early summer months and watch the growth. Prepare for a harvest in the months to come. When we follow the timeline and instructions God has provided... a harvest is inevitable.


I like Solomon's analogy being that he was and is the richest human being to ever exist. King Solomon tells us in the Book of Ecclesiastics to "sow your seeds (time, creative ideas, resources, talent, encouragement, laughter, truth, wisdom, joy, & gifts) unsparingly. Scatter them in the lives of those called to you in the season you are in. For we never know who's lives we will encourage and where I blessings will come."

Be a blessing and not a burden. Be a light and don't dim the shine of others. Be diligent and not lazy.

Be helpful and not hurtful. Be patient but stay ready and be prepared. For the harvest is sure to come. The season of weariness is over. Take heart. The harvest is on the way," declares the Lord.
