Putting God First/Rashea@LLO2 Academy

If we don't put God first, we cannot nor should we expect God to put us first. God is passionate about His place in our lives. He declares as a commandment in Exodus 20:3, "You shall not have any other gods or idols above Me or before Me."👀

Every time I read that I shiver in holy awe. God was upfront and blunt about His place in our lives. First.👀🙏🏾🙌🏾💕 Yes, Lord.

I think about over the years people, places and things that I put before God and how He shook my life to get my attention.👀 Very sternly reminding me of Exodus 20:3, "I will have no one or nothing before Me."👀 Yes, Lord. Sorry.👀💭

It is so easy to make excuses and to get sidetracked, because life can get busy. Life is full of excuses we can make and distractions that can easily take our focus off God, if we are not prayerful and focused on God and His will for our lives. Challenges?🙃 That's a whole different book.😂🤣 I am so serious.

Challenges can stress you instead of bless you and cause you more frustration and grief than any one heart or life can bear. That's why life requires a big God with all power that can navigate us through any situation to our victory in Him.

Take time for God. No excuses. Just obedience.


Listen to the inner promptings of God and that inner pull from the Holy Spirit to take a moment to pray or read and study the Word. We don't have to walk aimlessly in life in the midst of a crowd yet feeling alone. When we have God, we are never alone.

God is always present. He is always concerned about our well being. Moreover, He knows what He's doing.

However, we will never understand what God is doing and what He is saying, if we never take time out for Him. When God is a priority, He will make you a priority. Make time for Him everyday.
