The Divine Peace of God/Rashea@LLO2 Academy
What is it to have God's peace? God's peace offers us ease without having to numb ourselves to the pain, weariness, frustrations or anxiety within us and the chaos and pressures around us. God's peace offers us a sense of calm, clarity and comfort at all times in spirit, soul and body.
We can move about our day fully aware of what is going on around us, yet we are mentally and emotionally clear and focused within. God's peace offers closure. God's peace brings rest and a gentle closeness with God. (James 4:8.)
We are encouraged to give to God the burdens of life that weigh us down. We are, also, guaranteed a place and state of rest in the presence of God. (Hebrew 4:1-11.) Jesus tells us to come to Him, and He will give us rest (peace).
Are you overwhelmed? Rest in God. Overburdened? Rest in God. Overworked? Rest in God?
Overdue? Rest in God. Overlooked? Rest in God. Breathe, give it to God, and rest fully in Him.
Worry not. Don't be frantic or frazzled. Rest in the peace of God.
The peace of God is a state of tranquility of spirit, soul and body. It's a peace from God we ask for and that God gives us freely. You don't have to pay for this peace. All you do is ask God for it. Ask, and you shall receive rest (the peace of God).
Rashea. Is it really that easy? Just like that?
Yes, it is! You will know when God's peace has arrived, because it changes your mood, perspective and posture. You feel RELIEVED on the inside.
The peace of God protects us. It keeps us sound. The peace of God protects our understanding, our hearts and our minds. (Philippians 4:7.)
The peace of God protects and enhances our thoughts, emotions and our responses to situations and circumstances. You no longer feel depleted or defeated. Rather, you feel strong and triumphant through Christ.
God assures us that He, Himself, will sustain us and maintain our peace. "You (God) will protect and keep them in perfect and constant peace whose minds (both inclination and its character) is stayed on You (God), because they commit themselves to You (God), leaning on You (God) and placing their hope confidently in You (God)." (Isaiah 26:3.)
Why did I emphasize the importance of God? I emphasized the importance of God to direct our attention to God as our eternal Source of peace. No matter who or what God utilizes to intercede or intervene on our behalf, God is still the Source behind it. It is imperative that we acknowledge Him as God our peace.
Peace by still waters...
Ah yes. The water. I love being by the water. It's one of my happy places!:)
A hike. A walk in the sand. Time just to sit, meditate, read and clear the static and pressures of life from my soul.
I don't care who is there or who's around me. At that moment I am in the moment... It's just me, God, a Starbucks cup of coffee, the sun and the water. I am intentional on savoring and soaking in the moment of peace.
So peaceful there by the water. I have found myself there quite often. I'm not just saying physically but mentally and emotionally.
There by the water I have found clarity, vision and peace. By the water I have found the closeness of God. There by the water I have found another puzzle piece of myself.
I know my life is better because God met me by the water through a book, the sound of the water, the coolness of the wind, the sound of stillness and the radiance of the sun. Peace. Calm. And serenity.
Peace is so precious. The peace of God that is. It's worth fighting for and distancing yourself from all negativity.
I am so serious. I cannot do life without it. Peace quiets the soul.
Peace centers you. It empowers you to move forward with ease. The peace of God that is.
