The Importance of Rest/Rashea@LLO2 Academy
Know when to pull away, unplug for a while and get some sleep or some rest (relaxation and serenity). No one is of any use exhausted. No one can function under exhaustion for too long.
Your body was created for rest. I did not say idleness or laziness. I said rest.
Rejuvenate. Reset. And give it another go. Life that is.π€£
Pay attention to your body. Our bodies have an inner time clock that tells us when to relax and when to go to sleep. If you ignore your bodies inner time clock for too long... Your body will shut down on you and make you relax, recline or go to sleep.
We function better when we are rested. When we are sleep deprived, our thoughts aren't clear, our eyes grow heavy from the lack of sleep and we are half the person in our focus and productivity level because of a lack of rest or sleep.
When you are tired, don't keep going. Shut it all down for a few hours and recline and get some sleep. Sometimes, you have to be forthright and let people know... "Hey, I am going to get some rest for your sake and for mines."ππ€£
Coffee and energy shots and energy drinks can only do so much. Some things can't makeup for sleep. Sleep is one of the best remedies to being your best self.
None of us are made to keep going and going and going without the proper rest. Even the energizer bunny got tired after a while.π Recharge with sleep and relaxation. It's okay.
Make it a goal to be rested. It helps with your mood, memory, overall health and productivity levels on a regular basis. Know when to say... "You know... I am going to get some rest now. We shall continue this conversation later soon."ππ€£
