Am I On the Right Track?/Rashea@LLO2 Academy
May I ask you something? How do you track your personal progress? Do you track your personal progress by comparing your progress to others?
That may not be such a good idea. You can compare your progress to others and think you are a total failure and are lagging behind, when in all actuality you are doing just fine and further ahead than you thought. Or you can look at someone else and see the challenges they are facing in comparison to your own life, and think, "I am doing great, when in all actuality you can be totally off course and playing it safe.π Let that sink in.
Are you on track? Are you doing what is passionately stirring in your heart? Or are you avoiding any sign of challenges or displeasure for the sake of not rocking the boat?
Playing it safe, or living to please people is never a happy life. It's a miserable life. No matter how great you are, someone will always find a reason to tell you your best is never good enough. Or they will compare you to someone who is stronger and more talented or gifted than you in an area.
It's true. They will! People are never satisfied with your best. They will always tell you to do better.π
Can I ask you another question? When will you ever resolve that your best is good enough, no matter who isn't happy with your best efforts? Let that sink in.
It is time for you to get off that treadmill of running at a pace that is unrealistic and to a destination that that treadmill was never designed to take you to. Are you happy? Aren't you exhausted with living for people?
When are your going to start living for you? When are you going to start loving the great person you are and are yet becoming? When are you going to start really doing that thing that stirs in your soul... heeding that still small voice telling you, "Go this way? This IS the way?"
Until you do, you will never be truly happy. Everyday will be a mediocre life, no matter how grand or successful it is or you are, until you are truly living in God's will for your life. "What's God's will for your life?" I personally don't know. Ask Him.
I always tell people, if you REALLY want to know what your life's purpose is, go back to your childhood and adolescent years and think about the things you really were and are good at naturally without forcing it. THAT'S where you will find your true purpose in life. Find that thing that you are great at naturally and build on it. Refine it. Define it.
So. Am I on the right track? Did I make the right decisions? I don't know. Are you? Did you?
Here. I tell you what, when you want to know if you are on the right track in life and in Christ (for those who are Christian's) or did you make the right decisions, your life will be steadily progressive even in challenges. Your character improving is always a sign that you are on the right track.
You will, also, see the fruit of the Holy Spirit evident in your life and purpose. You will be at peace and truly happy. You will see the Word of God being fulfilled in your life. You will!
Everyone goes through a spiritual and soul detox, when improving their lives. You will have withdrawal symptoms. That's natural. You are changing your patterns and behaviors. STICK WITH THE CHANGE. Let God finish that great work He started in you.
Think about how you feel and look after you have detoxed from whatever. You feel and look so much better. That's because by God's grace you are better, and you are getting better by and by.
These are all sure and positive signs that you are on the right track. When you are on the right track... Stay on the right track. If you are off trackπ... GET BACK ON TRACK! Lord have mercy is right.ππ€£
Don't let people make your life miserable. Be happy, and stay happy. Be at peace, and stay at peace. Amen.
