Life At 40+... Once A Month/Rashea@LLO2 Academy

Okay ladies in our 40's. We are all women and adults. Right? By 40 we can discuss these things openly, yet privately and civilized. Right?πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

After some personal observation, I am learning that our menstrual cycle isn't 7 days. It's 14 days.πŸ™ƒ Let that sink in.

We have a week of premenstrual cycle symptoms. It is our body preparing itself for the natural extended time our bodies detox themselves of all impurities in our reproductive organs and, also, our bodies. The first 7 days (premenstrual cycle) is, also, our body nudging us that our period is on the way.

So much goes into being a female and a woman at all stages of womanhood, but I want to talk about life at 40. Dealing with a monthly cycle.πŸ™ƒ This is the stage of our lives that although our bodies are changing and we are in the middle of our youth and growing older, we are now pretty one with our bodies and our inner calendar of knowing the natural flow of our bodies.

Blemishes, fatigue, cramping, bloating, headaches, feeling noshes, emotional sensitivity, not feeling any symptoms at all, a loss of appetite or a craving for certain foods, mental blocks in thinking clearly, increase in blood pressure, feeling light headed, not wanting to be bothered, dealing with our feelings that we have been avoiding regularly and hormonal changes... all start in the premenstrual cycle. It can last for 7 days leading up our actual menstrual cycle. To be honest... It really is apart of our period.

It is the complexities of our bodies adjusting, aligning, changing, rearranging itself and regaining its balance to keep us healthy, vibrant and youthful. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, ladies. Don't overdue it.

Listen to your body. Feed your body what it needs not what it wants. Like a workout, how you recover during your menstrual cycle matters.

Eat healthy as much as possible, even if you crave and eat something sweet within that time period.πŸ˜‚ Drink plenty of water, and try leaning more into the healthy and organic side of a healthy recovery which benefits the natural cycle of our bodies detoxing themselves. Avoid artificial preservatives that can undo the natural detoxing benefits of the body.

Ladies, our bodies are designed to naturally detox themselves. It's more than a period. It's our bodies working hard at keeping us beautiful inside and out and helping us maintain good health in our 40's and beyond.

When you exercise, DON'T OVERDUE IT. Rigorous exercise can increase cramping, increase your heart rate and make you light headed. When and if you decide to exercise... take it lightly, drink plenty of water during and after your workout and make sure you have something nutritious in your system.

You will feel very tired during your premenstrual cycle at times. When you do, get some sleep. Your body needs that rest to maintain the energy taken from it during our premenstrual cycles.

Surround yourself with good things and things that keep you upbeat, since being more emotionally sensitive is possible and sometimes inevitable. You don't have to be crabby when you surround yourself with joy. Listen to, read and watch joyful things to counter the internal detoxing complexities going on within your body and hormones that can lead to emotional sensitivity.

This is, also, the time that you REALLY need to take probiotics to replenish what is being taken from your body in the detoxing (premenstrual cycle) stage. Life at 40 is different, but good, with God's help! You start seeing glimpses of your body changing in your late 20's and 30's. But at 40... those changes become surreal, y'all.

I cannot say enough. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES. Take BETTER care of yourselves. Maximize your good health and good choices to stay healthy, with God's help and strength.

Love you at 40. It is a beautiful time of life of growing, knowing and yet becoming. But let's be honest... It's different.πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Age with grace. Stay positive. Stay youthful. Stay beautiful inside and out!πŸ₯°πŸ’•

Life at 40+... Evolving with grace and applied right knowledge.
