At 40, do we know everything? Some would say, "YES!"π€£ But the truth is... we don't ladies.π
There is ALWAYS room for growth and improvement upward. Learn how to say yes to becoming your best self. And learn how to say no to complacency and the confines of what is obtainable for you in your 40's.
I am learning that life in my 40's is where life itself and its essence starts to matter. It's the season of your life where knowledge is more than just information that you learn but don't utilize. It's the season in your life where knowledge truly becomes power.
The power of will to get up and do what is necessary to live a healthy and less stressful and holistic life. I can't say stress free. That is unrealistic.π€£ However, life is and can be less stressful through right knowledge and right actions.
Does life slow down? In some aspects it does. What do I mean by that? Well... what you overlooked in your younger years, you notice in your 40's.
It's a natural inclination that kicks in. Your body doesn't heal as quickly as it once did. When you got pumps and bruises as a child you thought nothing of it and kept right on playing. But as you get older... when you pull a muscle or put too much weight on your body rigorously... That discomfort stays with you a lot longer and can flare up at any given time.
When that happens... Your body is under some level of stress. The remedy is stretching those stiff, tight and tender places. Actually, stretching is we should be doing regularly in our 40's.
Stretching is an exercise not just a warm up. It is therapeutic relief for your stiff and tender joints and muscles that endure the fatigue and demands of life. Your body is changing. Therefore, you have to counter the change with right knowledge and actions to stay healthy.
I would not techniquely call myself a vegetarian, but over the years I have gravitated away from the heavier meats that can take longer for the body to breakdown into energy and detoxified removal (in more discreet terminology).ππ Everyone's body is different, but for me... my body does better with foods that don't consist of harsh meats or too much meat on a regular. That started for me in my early 30's, but has become a way of life for me.
I will tell you what. It is either you listen to your body or your body is going to make you listen.π When we ignore what our spirits, souls and bodies need, and give it unhealthy things... We are destroying our temple. BUILD YOUR TEMPLE inside and out with GOOD things through RIGHT KNOWLEDGE, GOOD DECISIONS and RIGHT ACTIONS.
Improve your inner calm by building your infrastructure. Your spirit, soul and body has systems and structures. Take care of them. Take care of yourself.
Ladies. We are not seniors in age. However, at 40, we are ripe with wisdom on how to approach age and the natural changes in our bodies in our 40's.
I must say, with God's help and strength, I am better off now overall in life than I was earlier on in my life. God, experience and making good decisions... empower us to be our best. We cannot stop the natural cycles of life, but we can enhance our response to them by becoming better.
