"Today is the community parade," projected Martaus!
"Martaus. I prepared you 2 perch fish and 5 loves of freshed baked bread slices for the community parade today," said Martaus' mom.
"Yes, ma'am. Can I have a little hot sauce on my perch, momma," said Martaus?
"Son. Are you sure you want hot sauce ON your fish? That's pretty hot," said Martaus' mom.
"Yes, ma'am. I can handle it. Make sure it's the Louisiana hot sauce, momma," said Martaus.
π... "Okay. If you say so," said Martaus' mom.
"Who Hoo... This is gonna be good! It's Friday and momma fried some fish and baked some bread. My toes are even dancing right now," exclaimed Martaus.π€£
"Okay, see you this evening," Martaus. Have fun," said Martaus' mom, as she hugged and kissed him goodbye.
"Yes, ma'am." Goodbye momma.
"MARTAUS, did you know Jesus is coming to the community parade today," said Drew?
"No... I did not," replied Martaus.
"Yes. He's bringing His 12 disciples with Him," said Drew.
"Oh boy, what a surprise!
JESUS IS HERE! Jesus is actually here," shouted Martaus!
Jesus spoke well into the night, teaching the people many things. No one left. No one dared to move. Jesus was only in town for one night.
"The crowds are growing restless, Jesus. They have been with us all day. No one has eaten and all the restaraunts are closed for the community parade. We did not bring any provisions to feed such a vast crowd of people," Peter said.
"What are we going to do? We cannot send all these people home hungry," said the other disciples.
"Hmm... no one has anything," asked Jesus?
"Being that Martaus hadn't yet eaten his own dinner prepared by his mom, he raised his hand and shouted aloud. Here Jesus! I only have 2 perch fish and 5 baked loaves of bread. It's not much but it's an offering," said Martaus.
"Why thank you, my boy! Bring me what he has," said Jesus to Peter.
"Oh my gosh. This is not enough to feed ALL OF THIS PEOPLE," rationalized Peter.
"Have faith, Peter," said Jesus.
Taking the 2 perch fish and 5 loaves of bread in 2 baskets, Jesus lifted them to heaven, prayed and gave thanks. When he lowered the baskets...they were FULL to the top with perch fish and fresh baked bread.
"It's a MIRACLE!" I actually witnessed a miracle by JESUS. Jesus multiplied my little with much." Wait until I tell momma about this," exclaimed Martaus!
The crowd had a feast of fish and bread and went home full. Some even took to go plates.π€£ Over 5,000 people showed up at the community parade full of the bread of heaven and fresh baked bread miraculously multiplied by Jesus from one boy who was willing to share what he had.
The moral of this passage is to trust that what you offer to Jesus willingly will be multiplied miraculously. Take courage. Jesus is in town.
