Walking In the Spirit of Excellence/Rashea@LLO2 Academy

Is excellence perfection?

No. Excellence is not perfection.

So then, what is the difference between excellence and perfection?πŸ€”πŸ’

Excellence is understanding that a goal or endeavor is accomplished through failure. Excellence is refined and polished over a period of time and through experience. Effectiveness and efficiency is something you work at through repetition. You do it over and over again, until you get it right or how you envision it.

If you are not willing to fail from time to time, you are not willing to excel in excellence. You LEARN how to be excellent in what you do. You STUDY to be excellent in what you do.

In order to be [excel]lent, you must learn to excel. To excel is to achieve what is beyond expected or requested. To excel is to go BEYOND what was needed; its paying attention to the little details and incorporating them into whatever your are doing and needing to accomplish to leave a lasting impression.

To excel is to achieve your goals and the extra rewards of your labor. To excel is to REACH beyond the status quo or mediocrity. To excel is that WOW factor.

To excel is to THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. To excel is to be propelled or catapulted to another level, realm or dimension of what can be accomplished. To excel is to EXCEED expectations.

So, how do you accomplish these things? How do you learn to excel? You do so through experience

Critique your craft through experience. Polish your instincts through experience. Grow your character through experience.

Walking in the spirit of excellence is not about you outdoing others. Walking in the spirit of excellence is about you being committed to becoming your best self through experience.

Apply what you learn. Apply what you know. Apply experience to produce excellence.

The goal is right knowledge, right understanding, applying the right experiences to get the right outcome.

Assess. Adjust. Apply.

Evaluate the problem. Eliminate what isn't working. Engineer what is working. Excel in excellence!

So then, what is perfection? Perfection is unrealistic demands and expectations. It's overworking the plan and people, and reworking the plan but never satisfied with the results produced by the people.

Perfection is performance driven. Perfection is about what others will think versus what you really think and how you really feel. Perfection is compromising the vision in order to receive a temporary gratification of approval from people.

Perfection is actually derived from insecurity. You undo and redo repetitively only to repeat the process to out do the insecurities you harbor and conceal inside yourself. Perfection is never seeing how good something actually is. Whatever or whoever it is can always be better or do better.🀦‍♀️πŸ‘€

Perfection drives people away. While the spirit of excellence brings people together. Perfection is exhausting, while the spirit of excellence is rewading and fulfilling.

Perfection demolishes confidence. The spirit of excellence reinforces confidence. Are you a perfectionist or a person devoted to excellence?
