Cultivating Cultured Integrity/Rashea@LLO2 Academy
Who we are is the result of our root systems. What we are is the result of our root systems. Who and what we become is a result of our root systems.
Integrity is a quality trait. Although everyone has the potential to be a person of integrity, no one is born with integrity. Integrity is a series of cultivated right decisions, thoughts, communication and actions.
Integrity is a seed. That seed then becomes a culture of root systems that help govern our decisions, thoughts, communication and actions. A life without integrity is like a world without hope. Moreover, a world without integrity is a world lost without hope.
Integrity is the [in]ward honesty with oneself and others. Integrity is telling the truth and living the truth. Integrity is choosing to do what's right when pressured or having the choice to do what's wrong.
When I have integrity, my words and my deeds match up. I am who I am and what I am, no matter where I am or who I am with. -John C. Maxwell
Integrity is taking the initiative to do what's right in your decisions, words and thoughts. Integrity is a consistent cultivated character trait. Your actions can be trusted, because they are morally sound and align with what you say. What you say can be trusted, because it is morally sound and aligns with what you do.
But what is the plumbline of integrity? Your inner thoughts and beliefs are the plumbline of your personal integrity. Your inner thoughts and beliefs help mode and fashion your level of integrity.
Cultivating right thoughts and right beliefs will produce a healthy inner culture of integrity. The culture of integrity is your:
It's not that you cannot do what is wrong. You choose to do what is right instead. You understand that integrity has both laws and benefits when implemented and consequences when not implemented.
Integrity is an entry or access point into right beliefs, thoughts, decisions, concepts, character, behavior and principles. Integrity is the will to enter into the laws of what is right, while cultivating a healthy internal culture foundated on right principles, purpose and conduct.
Integrity enables you to conduct yourself properly, make decisions and think based on principles and tried and proven experiences and not feelings and impulsion. Integrity keeps you rooted under pressure and single- minded in every circumstance. Integrity is decisive based on principles. A decisive person full of integrity is decisive, sound, unwavering, resolute, reliable, sure, trustworthy in all their thoughts, feelings, decisions and conduct.
God utilizes the laws of biology to help govern the laws of integrity within you. Integrity is part spirit, part soul and part science. How about that?
The functions of the brain that enable you to think, imagine, decide, feel, hear, see, remember, read, etc., play a role in your integrity. The functions of the heart that enable you feel, decide, live, and recall experiences in your life, play a role in your integrity. God utilizes the laws of science to create harmony interconnectively between the brain and the heart, the soul and the spirit.
Psalms 51:6 reminds us that God desires integrity in the inward parts of our soul, spirit and bodies. We are encouraged to daily ask God to search us from within and expose any weaknesses within us, so that we can perfect the integrity of our weaknesses. A weakness is not always lust prone. A weakness can be your attitude, your mouth, your confidence, your ego, your health and fitness decisions, your level of organization or your temperament.
God wants integrity perfected in all areas of our lives. We do this by daily assessing ourselves, asking God to assess us and allowing others who care about our overall performance and character building to honestly assess us. Constructive assessment is always helpful.
Take the time and put forth the necessary effort to sharpen and polish any dull area that is impacting your level of integrity. Be honest with yourself. Integrity is the key component to maintaining your individuality and trust.
