Jesus loves people. I cannot recall an instance in the Bible during the ministry of Jesus where He personally referred to Himself as love. Jesus commanded us to love God and to love one another, but He never directly said, to my knowledge, "I am Love." Yet, Jesus loves people.


I can then only conclude that love is not only a commandment but an action. Jesus loved in action. Jesus instructed us to love God and others. Yet, He showed us how to love God and others through His own actions.

What Is Love According To the Bible?

.Love is a commandment.

.Love is an action or an expression of some kind.

.Jesus loves patiently, compassionately, entirely and persistently.

.Love is a conversion pertaining to life, light, healing, salvation and faith.

.Love is a communication exercising faith and the manifestation of the Kingdom of God.

.Love is essential.

How Are We To Love According To the Bible?

We are to love with patience, kindness, forgiveness, health, healing, humor, compassion, empathy, correction, obedience, sacrificially of one's own self and desires for the betterment of others, practicing the principles and the principal of love, giving and receiving, godly wisdom, right commitment and communication, consideration of others, being helpful, harmonious togetherness and faith building and faith boosters.

Jesus said, "We must come to Him as little children." Jesus was not telling us to revert back to the stages of our chilhood, but rather grasp and perfect within ourselves the innocent and fearless trust and reliance of a child. God wants us to love fearlessly and wholeheartedly trusting and relying on Jesus in all things.

Jesus loved fully and thoroughly. He was an example of love made perfect. That same love perfects us and makes us holistic as Jesus is.
