Jehovah Rapha... The God that Heals/Rashea@LLO2 Academy
God is intentional about healing our lives. The Lord heals us, and the Lord saves us. The Lord redeems us from the coils of affliction. Many are the afflictions (various challenges) of the righteous, but God delivers us out from them all (Psalms 34:17-19).
In Psalms 37:39 and Jeremiah 16:19 God is referred to as a Stronghold and a Refuge for His people. God is strength to His people. God is a Protector and the Defender of His people.
He is the God that hears. Moreover, He is the God that heals. God is:
.Jehovah Rapha- The God Who heals.
.Jehovah Uzzi- God our Strength.
.Jehovah Ma'owz or Jehovah Mibtsar- God our Stronghold or God our fortress.
.Jehovah Shama- the God Who hears.
God heals, strengthens, protects, raises up high, fortifies and hears his people. Healing isn't just a process. Healing is a progression. Gradually you are healing everyday as you yield to the work of the Holy Spirit and God's Word in your life.
Righteousness contains the virtues of healing. Jesus is the Lord our Righteousness. Jesus is the Lord our Healer. Therefore, if Christ is our Righteousness, then healing, also, contains righteousness.
Let's see the connection. Righteousness is to advocate and return one back to a right standing with God. Righteousness is to return one back to a proper state of existence. Healing also is the process of returning one back to a proper state of functioning and existence.
So, Jesus through the work of the Holy Spirit within us returns us back to the proper state of functioning and existence. Healing is vertically and horizontally interconnected. Healing is vertically powered to release virtue horizontally.
Healing is an internal belief that stems from you. Healing is a conversation of faith. "Do you believe," said Jesus? "Yes Lord, I believe," they replied.
We truly receive what we believe. We must communicate our personal belief in Jesus. "Lord, I believe you will." Will is a declarative that leaves no room for doubt, fear or anxiety of unbelief.
Will gives Jesus the leverage and access point he needs to heal us freely and completely. Our communication of faith gives Jesus the clearance to heal us. Through our faith and by the power and authority of Jesus, we are healed in all areas of our lives.
