The Benefits of To-Do-Lists and Goals
I read where someone advises people to get rid of their to-do-lists and goals.ππ What on earth? Now that is some of the stupidest advice I have ever heard someone give someone else.π€¦♀️
You don't ever discard the concepts of a workable to-do-list and setting goals. They are helpful in completing daily tasks and things you want to accomplish in your day and in life. Discarding the concepts of a workable to-do-list and setting goals is like advising someone to not have any established direction or guidance in their day or for their life.π YIKES!π
Please do not ever heed this ridiculous advice. That is not wise. You may have to adjust your to-do-lists or goals periodically, but never not have a plan of action.
Yes! That's exactly what they are. To-do-lists and setting goals are action plans. The Book of Proverbs encourages us to set a plan of action and then give God the room to critique it along the way.
Don't leave yourself open to distractions, stagnation, idleness or derailment, because that's exactly what can and will happen when you do not have a realistic plan of action in place. To-do-lists and setting goals motivates you to get up and actually do what you wrote down. To-do-lists and setting goals helps set your course to fulfill your purpose, assignments, dreams and vision.
To-do-lists and setting goals keeps your day and life organized and clutter free from events, stuff and circumstances that are not necessary. Ask yourself, "Is this on the lists? Is this a goal of importance?" If not, ignore and proceed.
When you are on your way to prosperity and good success, when you are on your way to accomplishing your dreams and goals... You will have all kinds of things rear their heads to barricade you into complacency and defeat. Again. Ask yourself, "Is this a matter of importance?" If not... ignore, and proceed.
Sounds a bit harsh? Well it's not. Protect your life and dreams at all cost.
Say no to distractions that can and will derail your focus and momentum. SAY YES TO MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!π Whatever that is for you.
How many things have we said yes to that were not on our priority lists or a goal that turned out to be unnecessary, disheartening, frustration and a waste of time? I know. We have all been there.πππ€¦♀️
Learn to stay no to distractions and commit to accomplishing your to-do-list and goals. Make dinner. Do the laundry. Help with homework. Take time for a needed moment to chat and catch up.
Stay home, and get some needed rest. Don't over commit to tasks that are not on your lists or a goal. Go sit by the water or take a walk to refocus your thoughts.
Do the things you need to do. Sometimes, we do the things we want to do or don't want to do and put off the things we need to do. And we wonder why we are imbalanced, stressed out, not performing at our best or are resentful.
Ask yourself, "Did I commit to something that was not on my list of priorities?" Locate the issue, and fix it immediately. Get back on track, and stay on track.
To-do-lists are for every day purposes. Goals are things you set and work toward over the course of time. A to-do-list and settings goals are great ways to hold yourself accountable. A daily to-do-list and setting goals, also, enable you to see your progress. They help you to know that with diligence, hard work and focus... things can get done.
I am all for to-do-lists and goals. Their like having a daily and gradual vision for your life. Do not, I repeat, do not live your life without to-do-lists and setting goals.
Write things down. Don't think you are always going to remember things you need to do off the top of your head. Some of the most important things and assignments you need to accomplish for work, school, home and for yourself need to be written down immediately. We forget, but paper and pen does not.ππ€£. That was good.π
Productivity is the result of planning ahead of time. Productivity is the result of having to-do-lists and setting goals. Productivity is the result of taking action according to what you wrote down for yourself to accomplish in your day and over the course of time.
