The Big Picture... Establishing Cohesion/Rashea@LLO2 Academy

Leading teams only becomes difficult when you are dealing with difficult leaders on teams. Every board or administration does not have ongoing conflict within their circle or teams. Some teams really work well together and that is why some marriages, families, organizations and corporations have longevity.

Some problems occur outside the teams. When that happens cohesive teams come together to resolve the problems impacting the unit or vision.

Your goals should consists of:

.Keeping team cohesion.

.Resolving any and all problems impacting the team, the environment, the vision or goals of advancement.

.Any necessary or desired expansion of the vision and teams.

Heads of teams... it is important that you are leading prayerfully and listening intentively. Watch for any signs of conflict. If you even sense something is array... confront the circumstances immediately before they become a peril or an issue.

Keep your teams healthy. Listen thoughtfully to your team members, especially if they prove to be integral. It doesn't mean that you have to do everything the team suggest, but at least hear them out. They just might keep you from making any unnecessary mistakes or have the next creative idea that advances the team and the vision.

Teams. Don't get offended, when head leaders don't do everything you suggest. It is still their job to make sure they keep the team moving in the right direction. Head leaders are obligated to always lead with the big picture in view and in mind. There is no time for self absorbing ideas that can lead to division or arrogance.

Stay the course. Head leaders... you have every right to confront ongoing conflict both internally and externally impacting the team, the vision and the integrity of the vision and its people. Head leaders... you also have every right to reprimand ongoing insubordinate behavior within the team. If the team member refuses to change... you have every right to let them go.

Never jeopardize the cohesion of the team and the vision for division or divisive behavior. When anything goes down... all fingers will be pointing back to you. Don't risk yourself or the team for ongoing insubordinate behavior from anyone on the team. When you let this kind of behavior go on for long periods of time... It can and it does impact the morale of the team and the vision.

Build a positive environment and culture. Be upfront. "We all have challenging moments, but this is the culture here. Positive and upbeat."

I have seen it done. You go into certain cultures and everyone is professional, upbeat and polite. Why? The head leaders have set the culture. What you establish can lead to a winning culture. What you tolerate and never confront and resolve can lead to not only a losing culture but a closed up shop.πŸ‘€... Let that sink in.πŸ™ƒ

The cohesion and character of your culture impacts your profit more than you think. Get a solid team and become a WINNING TEAM. When hiring or replacing anyone on your team... don't just look at their gifts, skills and talents. Look at their character.πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ’―

Periodically assess the vision and individuals on the team. Don't just pull people aside when they make an error.😏 Applaud them when they do things right!😊 When you create balance like that... correction won't be taken so defensively.

Your team must know you believe in them. So how will they know you believe in them? You do not do it all yourself. You entrust your team with tasks according to their ability and proven efforts.

Whatever you do... don't micromanage them. Periodically check to see how the progress is coming along. As they make progress... acknowledge it. Even offer to help, if you see they need some help. This helps them build confidence in themselves and in you!

When it comes to team building... Keep it πŸ’―. Keep it professional. Platonic relationships are the goal. Maintain healthy boundaries. If couples work together within the organization... of course they can show their partner affection or eat together which many couples do, but a level of professionalism should still be maintained in work environments while on the clock.

No one wants to be apart of a boring or rigid team where everything is taken so seriously and enjoying your job is prohibited.πŸ‘€πŸ™ƒ SO BE CREATIVE AND HAVE FUN advancing the vision! Make sure everyone feels involved and is apart of the bigger picture.
