The Power & Will of Concentration Part A/Rashea@LLO2 Academy
Concentration. Is concentration really possible in a busy, exhausting and distraction prone society? Well... that depends on you.
You have to be intentional on cultivating a mentality that empowers you to zone in and to concentrate. It's easy to be distracted or to feel overwhelmed. You must become proactive against distractions and busyness that is exhausting, stressful and overwhelming you.
Concentration. Where do I even begin when my life and day is pulled in what seems to be 100 different ways? Well... first things first.
Breathe...
.Next, even if it's just for a few minutes...find time to pull away from the people, places and things that are draining and crowding your time, space and energy to be your best self.
.Then inwardly gather your thoughts, emotions and energy.
.Take a minute to communicate with God in a moment of prayer. Channel in on His guidance and follow His instructions.
.Mentally, emotionally and physically concentrate God's guidance through every encounter, tasks, challenge, decision and circumstance in your day.
Can we get great results without inquiring God's input? Sure we can! However, inquiring of God is guaranteed to get us the best results and the best guidance.
Why take a chance trying to make things happen in your own strength? The Bible warns us not to lean to our own human beliefs, knowledge, experiences, instincts, impulses, philosophical views, vices or understanding, but to acknowledge the power, presence and Personhood of God for right guidance and for the best results (Proverbs 3:5-7). Concentrate through consecration. Set your thoughts, will, beliefs, actions, communication, hearing and commitment apart as holy as unto the Lord (Philippians 4:8).
Is this a religious practice I am referring to? Well... yes and no. Concentration through consecration does impact your spiritual well- being. However, concentration of your thoughts, will, beliefs, actions, communication, hearing and commitments impact all areas of your life.
Concentration through consecration makes you not only holy but holistic. God wants us to to live holistic lives. He wants us to be stress free, focused and productive. God isn't concerned about our spiritual well-being being only. God is concerned about the totality of our well-being. Often times when Jesus went about healing lives and saving souls He would say, "Be healed and be made whole."
If you want to know why you are productive or why you are not as productive as you could or should be in areas, reflect on what you are focusing on. Is your concentration in alignment with your purpose, beliefs and goals? Having your focus on the right things can propel you to greater heights of God's sovereign will and blessings for your life. However, having your focus on the wrong things can lead to all kinds of challenges that God never intended for your life.
CONCENTRATE. CONSECRATE. PROPEL YOUR FOCUS FORWARD FROM THE INNER CONSCIENCE NOT THE EXTERNAL CONSCIOUS OF THE WORLD AROUND YOU.
Your inner conscience must dominate over your external conscious. Your mindfulness of the inner conscience thought of right and wrong can guide you effectively and efficiently through circumstances, belief systems and pressure from society that stems from the external conscious world around you.
We are taught to live from the inside out not the outside in. To live from the external conscious is temporal based living with a life that is subjected to the temporal limitations of this world. But come up higher in your thinking to the inner conscience dimensions that are governed by the external power and authority of God. Here the inner conscience dimensions produce the Kingdom of God in thought, spoken word and in deed and in truth.
