What is your vision and mission?

Everyone on your team should be familiar with your vision and mission. Every quarter not just yearly, it's recommended that the leadership hold a mandatory meeting for all leaders and team members rather online or in person where the vision and meeting is reiterated. Give a debriefing, and discuss any updates or changes to the vision, meeting or team.
It is very important that everyone is up-to-date and on the same page. Anyone who is unable to attend the meeting should be given a packet or newsletter of the meeting, updates and changes. Make sure people sign in for accountability purposes so that the leadership will know their leadership and team were in attendance and are up-to-date.
Please note: Signing in for meetings are not to be utilized for leverage or political maneuvers. Such hideous agendas are perilous to the integrity of the team and the individual. Accountability and attendance usage only.
When changes are not communicated to the whole team, it can cause confusion, tension, frustration, involuntary conflict and/or setbacks. How many times have your heard from a team member who was uninformed of the changes, "Well, I didn't know that. No one told me that."πππ€£ Lord have mercy. Make SURE everyone is informed on the team. Doing so keeps down division, discord and unawareness.
Head leaders, assess your leadership and teams. Make sure each individual is in the right positions and doing their jobs accordingly. Make whatever adjustments you need to make to keep the vision and mission running smoothly and forward.
Know the names of your leaders, what teams they are on and what their roles are.
Name: _____________________________________
Team: ______________________________________
Role: _______________________________________
Head leaders and leadership teams, make learning fun. Be creative. Sow insight, books and links for leadership growth and development into the lives and hands of your leaders and teams.
Be creative. Instead of the boring way of, "Here's a book or leadership link."ππ€£π Present it to them in a gift bag or pull their name from a monthly raffle. Maybe assign a specific chapter and whoever completes the read wins a $5 Amazon or starbuck's gift card towards their purchase. You can also invite your team to a potluck and present leadership resources at the event. When you do this, people will enjoy their roles, their jobs and be more effective.
Give a shift in the environment to change the climate. Take work outside the normal every once in a while. Take the team out to eat or have a team building event not to talk business but for the purpose to get to know your team.
Be professional but approachable. Leaders should know their leadership and teams platonically on some level. It's helpful to know the people you are assisting or those who are assisting you to eliminate the sense awkwardness.
Practice the politeness of gratitude. Say thank you, or you're welcome! This helps build an environment of genuine appreciation.
Complain. Complain. Complain. All they ever do is complain. Bosses, management, staff and co-workers.π€£ππ
Have you ever been in that kind of miserable environment. Eyes and heads start rolling.ππ€£ "Here we go."
They invented complaint boxes for an reason.π€£π To keep your meetings and teams moving in the right direction in a timely manner, encourage your staff to write down any questions, concerns or complaints they may have and drop it in the designated box. Give yourself time to review any important questions, concerns and complaints people may have before the meeting and address them during the meeting. Just choose a few to be mindful of the time and the personal lives of your team.
Set a time limit for the meeting and for each speaker do that you can keep the meeting effective and efficient. Stay on task and on topic. Encourage your speakers to write down their points to prevent them from veering away from their topic and assigned goals.
Your team should reflect you but not be you. Everyone's uniqueness matters. Being on the same page doesn't mean people should put their own unique identity as a person to the wayside.π It is important to be acceptive of different nationalities not just your own preferred preference. For instance what if a consumer of asian or spanish decent comes into your organization or store and has questions? It would make sense to have someone who speaks their language on staff to keep you from losing out on building a relationship with your community, losing out on their business or the businesses profit.
