The Wisdom of God... What and Who Exactly Is the Wisdom of God?/ Rashea@LLO2 Academy
I, personally, never claimed to know everything. However, I do try to make an effort to sit humbly at the feet of the God who does know all things. I am not here sharing what God teaches me to boast or to brag about what He reveals to me.
I am here to share with those who have a desire to learn on a deeper level yet in a practical way. Now, for those who are ready and willing... let's go deeper into the mind and heart of God. Right knowledge, understanding and godly wisdom is available to all those who want it and need it, if you are willing to do your thorough research.ππΎπ―
Spiritual Insight
God gives us insight into matters and events (past, present and future). Let me be clear. This is not psychic or telepathic activity where a Christian exercises magic of any kind.
Spiritual insight often times is given to believers through prayer and a close and consistent relationship with God. Many prophets and believers in the Bible that received insight from God were in a time of prayer and solitude (to withdraw for a time to devote time to God). These were times where God would, often times, speak of things to come, give dream or vision interpretations or affirm His divine covenant with His people after they've endured life's challenges.
Has God changed? No. The methods and times have changed, but the Message and mission of God is still the same.
God still speaks to Christian's through visions and dreams and in times of devotion. But why? God speaks to us to reveal His close fellowship with us as His children.
God, also, gives us insight into matters, because He does not want us to be blind- sided by the enemy. God gives us insight (revelation & understanding) to protect us from the premeditated plots of the devil (Proverbs 4:5-9). The Bible instructs us to be watchful and prayerful (Colossians 4:2).
The Apostle Paul prayed that God would open the eyes of our hearts (spirit, will & seat of decision) and saturate us with light (knowledge, understanding, wisdom, insight, discretion). (Ephesians 1:18.)
In others words, the Apostle Paul was praying that God would grant us insight through revelation knowledge which is to know the purposes and the will of God.
God communicates dreams and visions:
.Verbally.
.Written interpretation.
.Imagery.
Insight is to see in. Insight is to see inside. Insight is to see beyond the surface to reveal what is hidden or not noticeable to the human eye.
Insight is to have sight within sight. Insight is to discern the heart and mind. Insight is to see as God sees through our spiritual lens. Insight reveals the true state or condition of the human heart, soul and spirit.
Insight is to see what has been, what is and what will be. The purpose of insight is to draw a person to repentance and salvation, or to bring to pass the will of God. Insight is to see deeper and to know mysteries untold.
Every leader and Christian needs some depth of discernment (divine revelation and understanding). Every leader, especially Christian's should have a prayer life and a time devoted to spending with God (in prayer and reflection and studying the Bible). Insight is granted on different tiers and at different times. Some people have the gift of insight and others are granted insight to help them navigate through their course.
Insight makes a person say inwardly, "How did they know that," even if they never say it verbally. We must remember that God knows all things. He knows our thoughts afar off (Psalms 139:1-2). Nothing is hidden from God (Hebrew's 4:13).
Knowing the Wisdom of God
So, Who is Wisdom? Jesus is the Wisdom of God revealed (1Corinthians 1:24). However, Jesus is the Wisdom of God tangibly and visibly revealed, because the Holy Spirit Who is the Spirit of Wisdom rest upon Him and within Him (Isaiah 11:2; Mark 1:9-10; Luke 3:21-22, 4:1 & 14; John 1:33-34).
The Distinctive Role of God the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is distinctively His own Person yet interchangeably the same as God the Father and God the Son. How? Intellectually, emotionally, in behavior, in commitment and in communication their agreement is unified.
Jesus revealed in John 14:28 that God the Father is greater than God the Son. So this clearly refutes the argument that God the Father and God the Son are the same Person. They have their own distinct identity and roles in the Godhead.
God the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, but yet, He is not God. He is the active Spirit of God within us. The Holy Spirit's role is to create (Genesis 1:2, 2:7; Proverbs 8:22-30), to fill and to seal (John 20:22; Ephesians 1:13-14), to empower (Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 5:32, 10:44-46) and to give revelation (John 16:13-16; 1Corinthians 2:10-15).
Jesus clearly tells us, 13 "But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all Truth (the whole; the full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father, He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. 14 He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you. 15 Everything the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you. -John 16 Amplified Version
The Unified Agreement of the Godhead
Everything that is within the Holy Spirit is within God the Father and God the Son. Let me reiterate, that all these attributes proceed from God the Father first. However, it is the job and ministry of God the Holy Spirit to actively impart and carry out the will of God in the Christian's life as they obey God and live for Christ.
