Solitude is not isolation. Think about the benefits of a sabbatical, vacation or a day off. These are times of solitude. Write down how you feel after a time of solitude. Isolation is avoiding the world for long periods of time due to traumatic experiences. Solitude is withdrawal from people, places and things for a short period of time to recuperate in one's spirit, soul and body in order to return to the world around you feeling your best.

Challenge: Jump start your relationship with God. Devote 7 days to solitude with God. It doesn't have to be the whole day. Make time for God during these 7 days each day. Be more mindful of Him throughout your day. Each day write down the benefits you experienced by making God apart of your day.

Jesus, as we pray and walk closely with you, grant us insight into the heart and mind of God. Help us to know the mysteries of God. Help us to know Your will. Thank you for times of solitude to refresh our spirits, souls and bodies. Thank you for fresh revelation and impartation. Thank you for the many benefits of solitude. Like Ezra, give us safe passage into the seasons you are taking us into. Protect us from our enemies who attempt to hinder Your will for our lives. Let the Spirit of Wisdom rest on us as we walk closely with You. Illuminate our hearts with light. Forgive us when we stray away from divine insight. Let us not stumble around in spiritual darkness. Help us to be honest. Let us be found walking in integrity. Thank you for the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit Who reveals all things, in Jesus name. Amen.
