Kingdom Fitness 2024 Edition/Life at 40 and Beyond... Healing Your Spirit in Your 40's
Wellness in my body. Wellness in my soul. Wellness in my spirit.
26 "...And I will give you a new heart and a new spirit.
27 I will put my Spirit within you to help you live a holistic life." -Ezekiel 36
Wellness requires the willingness to yield to God's Word and the Holy Spirit. NOT religion. But a RELATIONSHIP with God.
God response to the human spirit that seeks a heartfelt relationship with Him. God is committed to those who love Him wholeheartedly. People commit to religion but fail to commit to God.
Although Christianity is communicated as a religion, it is not a religion. Christianity introduces us to a personal relationship with Jesus that reveals the nature of God and draws us closer to God. God lives in our hearts and communicates to us through our spirit.
The Bible is not filled with religious laws and sacraments only. That is only a small portion of the Bible. The Bible is completed with historical accounts of creation, the existence of God, Jewish history that gives concrete evidence of the Jews connection to the ancient wonders of the world, and the physical evidence of Jesus who redeemed humanity from eternal destruction and how all people can receive the salvation and grace He has freely given.
Think of your spirit this way. It is the part of you that still actively and internally wills, communicates, thinks, speaks and feels when you are not verbally speaking, physically doing anything or communicating your thoughts out loud. Your spirit is directly connected to God and the spirit world beyond the earthly realm of existence. Your spirit is the core part of who you are. It is the center of life and all human existence.
So when God speaks to us, He doesn't speak to us through the realms of religion but the dimensions of relationship. Our spirit is layered with spiritual currents that are in the flow of God's rhythm and power. These spiritual currents connect us to the spirit of God (the Holy Spirit) and the heart of God (divine knowledge and understanding) which we call divine revelation or godly Wisdom.
Religion is often times rigid and hypocritically professed. A relationship with Jesus is geared around developing our lives through our spirit first. A relationship with Jesus does not deny the imperfections of the human soul but gives us the divine road map on how to draw closer to God.
The Bible says, "They that worship (serve and revere) God must worship Him in spirit and in truth). NOT RELIGION, but an integral interconnected relationship with God through Jesus.
God does not expect us to have it all together or to know all the answers to life and eternity. People do, but God does not. He just wants our best each and everyday.
God knows we are human beings just as much as we are spiritual beings. Grace and mercy is for the flaws, the failures and our mistakes (whatever they maybe). So now that I am in my 40's, I have learned to embrace my Christianity and embrace and admit to my humanity.
Why lie to yourself? Christianity does not omit our humanity totally. Christianity helps us to fine tune our weaknesses and strengths through the Scriptures.
People pressure us into changing. However, God offers and encourages us to change organically without feeling like a complete failure beyond redemption when we sin, because sin is inevitable even as Christian's. If I draw strength and approval from the world, I will never feel enough or be enough. That world is full of comparisons, competition and narcissistic judgments that that can hinder our relationship with God.
However, when I draw strength from the Holy Spirit and God's Word that lives in my heart and spirit, I will always feel like enough and be enough, because God is enough in me and through me. God is all that is pure and good flowing in my life. He is life within my spirit giving me life.
The mission of Jesus was to restore not only the human condition but our relationship with God. God deems us more than enough, because He is enough. The Greater One lives inside of every Christian, and in some ways in all creation on earth.
When I was younger, I craved the approval of people, but now that I am in my 40's, I fully embrace the approval of God through Jesus. When you embrace peace and embrace that you are enough in your spirit, it will exude through every aspect of your life. Knowing that God approves of me has become more than enough for me.
When your spirit is healed you will fully embracr your spirit. You will fully embrace the God that heals you and has made you whole. You will fully embrace the truth about you.
This is God's truth over you... You are enough. You are holistically and spiritually enough. Live well. Be well.
