Kingdom Fitness 2024 Edition/Life at 40 and Beyond... Making Healthy Decisions
As I get older and I look back over my life, I realize that decisions matter. What decisions you make matters. Making good decisions matters know and in the future.
It is possible to correct your course. It is possible to see your life turn around. It is possible to live a more fulfilling life in your 40's; a life well lived.
It does take work on your part. You have to reset your mind to a healthier lifestyle with healthier habits, making healthier choices, but it's possible! The Bible is clear, "Your latter years will be greater than your former years." But how in the world is that even logically possible? God, time, patience, optimism, self- discipline and good decisions.
You will have to say yes to new things and no to old things. You will have to declutter your life and your soul. You will have to be intentional, but it's worth it!
Soul searching is necessary in your 40's. Much of our lives are lived in a routine. However, what we need is a rhythm. Find your rhythm; find your flow for life.
We all have had days we feel exhausted, stressed out, frustrated or sad. Although these are all justifiable emotions that we all feel from time to time, they won't change things. These emotions are all indicators that something's needs to change.
I have learned that there are some decisions that I am required to make. Self-discipline. Do this. Don't do that.
Think this way. Say this. Live better. Feel better.
Sometimes, life forces you to make better decisions. What we fail to do in our time, nature forces us to do in its time. You might as well decide to do what's right before life and nature forces you to do what's right. When life and nature forces you to do what's better and what's best it means something went wrong before they intervened.
I am a witness that life doesn't have to look bleak as you get older though. There is light guiding you way before you get to the end of the tunnel. That guiding light enables you to gain clarity, remain focused and make good decisions.
Despite the ups and downs, highs and lows, your life can and should improve. Looking back, and then looking forward, is like God granting you a second chance to get it right and to do it right. Take a step forward, and then take another step forward, until you get to the end of the tunnel.
"Get it right the first time." Hey, easy there. It is impossible to get things right the first time all the time, but it is possible to get it right eventually.
It starts with a healthier mindset. That mindset then helps you to formulate healthier thinking patterns. Those healthier thinking patterns evolve into healthier habits, and those healthier habits are engineered to compliment the person you are becoming over the course of time and experience.
Life in your 40's is like crossing the bridge of life. You aren't as young as you use to be, but you aren't old either. You're somewhere in the middle of it all. As you change and life changes, you find a new rhythm; a new balance to step to. A new flow to guide you down the tunnel of life.
You cross that pivotal pathway more focused, more free and more confident in who you are and who you are becoming. Your decisions can and should make life easier not more difficult. Get in the pathway that leads to peace, fulfillment and joy. Decide to live a healthier, happier and a more fulfilling life in your 40's and beyond.
