The Kingdom of God- The Calling and Making of World Changing Disciples

As Jesus was walking by He said, "Follow Me and I will make you." In others words, Jesus said, "Follow Me, and I will equip you to become who and what it is that I have already predestined for you to be. Furthermore, follow Me, and I will teach you and show you how to become your fullest potential."

This invitation to follow Jesus was an invitation that required:

.A decision.

.Action.

.Discipleship.

You cannot become effective without first learning how to be effective. You cannot be effective without first being shown what it is to be effective. Effective leadership requires knowledge and demonstration

You cannot demonstrate what you have not learned. Proper demonstration requires learning and experience. You have to learn and see effective leadership and discipleship in order to become an effective leader and disciple.

.Knowledge.

.Perspective.

.Action.

If you are going to be an effective disciple who leads, you must be connected to and submitted to headship and other like-minded leaders who are effective leaders, on some level. If you are going to be an effective disciple who leads others, you have to have a learning mentality. If you are going to be  effective in leadership, you must show up to the sessions and learn the lessons

Jesus was constantly teaching and critiquing the perspective of His disciples. Jesus was always inviting His disciples to take a journey that would stretch, sharpen and solidify His disciples potential and purpose. Great leaders take mediocre leaders from mediocrity to greatness by unlocking and pulling out of them the goodness and greatness within them without being intimidated by their capacity or purpose.

Leadership is a mentality and a calling. Your mind and brain have to be renewed to the proclivity of effective leadership. You must train and be conditioned to lead effectively and efficiently. You must maintain the mindset that I am a disciple just as much as I am a leader.

If you are an effective leader, it is because you are an effective student. Show up. Grow up.

The whole objective of discipleship is to grow you into an effective and efficient individual and leader. Some people are born with the natural knack of leadership and others have to grow into their leadership abilities and roles, but all effective leaders have two things in common. Discipleship and leadership.

You cannot have one without the other. The disciplines of discipleship prepare you for leadership. Self-disciplined leaders are the most effective in their roles and purpose.

Jesus was always challenging His disciples to think deeper, yet practical. He took their inadequacies and turned them into proficiency. If you are around great and effective leaders who care about your growth and development, you will become empathetic and proficient.

Jesus was always teaching His disciples. He was always asking them the right questions. He challenged them to think deeply and differently. Moreover, He encouraged them to think in alignment with right principles and the Word of God. Doing this would manifest the Kingdom of God

Religious leaders were well read and well rehearsed to draw a sect. However, Jesus leadership drew crowds. People from all over the region became disciples of the Way.

The religious leaders and scholars were well versed in their presentations to condemn others. However, Jesus took the Scriptures and created practical and relatable lessons by displaying grace and mercy. This practical approach made His disciples empathetic and proficient. They were proficient in their households, communities, churches, government and in the marketplace.

Why be well versed and well rehearsed, if you fail to develop your disciples into empathetic and proficient leaders? When you fail to develop your disciples into leaders, you are just sounding symbol. You are making a lot of noise and doing a lot of talking but bearing no fruit of effective leadershipπŸ™ƒ

If you talk the talk, walk the walk. Talk and walk. Walk and talk.
