If your mentors and those influencing your life are bearing negative character but positive results... that is a sign of a counterfeit. The Bible calls these kinds seducing spirits (2Peter 2). Even if their life is not bearing positive results on the level they may desire at the moment they should be making progress. Moreover, your mentors and influences words and actions should match. If they do not, they are out of balance and eventually they will throw you out of balance.👀💭 Find your balance.

Asking the important questions that govern our lives concerning our influences, leaders and mentors maintains a level of:

Jesus gives us healthy, consistent and holistic role models. Help us to discern who is pouring into us. Help us to pray about what is being poured into us. Give us a greater sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and gravitate towards sound principles and the Word of God. Help us to avoid the wrong influences that can destroy our reputation, our lives and self-worth. Help us to ask the important questions and not timid away from them or become upset when asked the important questions. Thank you for helping us to maintain a greater level of accountability, integrity, self-reflection, the willingness to change and to grow, build character and adapt to what's right while avoiding what's wrong. Help us not to jeopardize our souls or well-being for people who are walking in blatant rebellion and disobedience to Your Word and right authority. Help us to pattern our lives after Christ and leaders who sincerely follow the example of Jesus. Help us to resist the pressure and influences that lead to sin and destruction in our health, finances, faith, families, friendships, fortitude and future. Help us to follow the example of leaders who are good role models and practice good principles themselves. I bind and renounce the distractions and disruptions of the devil that attempt to throw us off balance. I renounce and expel the demonic spirits of fear, ungodly anger, timidity, revenge, injustice, ungodly zeal, stress, anxiety, depression, oppression, suppression, regression, the spirit of pride, seducing spirits, spirits of rebellion, the spirit of Omri and Ahab, Jezebel and Athaliah, deception, witchcraft, perversion, idolatry and disobedience, in Jesus name.
