Living Well Empowerment 2024; Living with Godly Wisdom in Your 40's... Knowing God Through Godly Wisdom (A 30 Day Devotional for Women- Day 28)/ Rashea@LLO2 Academy
Lady, do you know God or do you know of God? Many people only know of God and claim to know Him. But knowing God and knowing of God are not the same.
And just because you read your Bible and are a good person, and even go to church or serve in the church doesn't necessarily mean you know God. To know God is to love Him, and to love Him is to serve Him. This means you are a born again Christian who lives your life to honor Jesus regularly.
Many people know of God but yet their hearts are far from Him. They go to church and serve in the church, but they are not born again Christian's living to honor God. They are a great person, but yet, they are partial (half-hearted) toward God.
Jesus said in the Book of Revelation that we have to choose to either be all in with God or not. We cannot be lukewarm (half-hearted). Half-hearted implies, you're really not sure. Or you are not happy with the way that things in your life are, but you settle, because it's familiar circumstances to you.
Godly Wisdom says, "Be all in with God, or He will distance Himself from you and disconnect completely." These are Jesus words. Not mine, but I agree.
We have to fully commit to our relationship with Jesus. Commitment produces connection. A lack of commitment results in disconnection.
When you neglect to cut ties with distractions and your old life before Jesus, it causes a wedge between you and Jesus. A lack of fellowship with God causes many Christian's to become estranged to the God they say they love and serve. The devastating thing about growing distant from God is, He will acknowledge not to know you. He may know your face and name, but knowing you as a person, and you knowing Him doesn't exist.
Seek God through godly Wisdom. Ask Him, through a time of prayer and reflection to give you a devotional plan that will fit into your daily to-dos. Then, ask Him to give you godly Wisdom on how to maintain your personal relationship and devotional time with Him.
