The Worth & Wisdom of Manhood (God's Men Going Bible)/ Letting God Lead... Session 10/ Rashea@LLO2 Academy
"I got this."
That's great! I am glad you can handle the task at hand. But what happens in those moments that you can't figure it out, life feels overwhelming and you don't know how in the heck you are going to get through this or make it out of what you are facing?
Sometimes, man are expected to be Macho Mundo all the time. They are expected to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. But what happens when the weight that you are carrying is way too much for you to bear alone?
I tell you what you do. You drop it. Drop the weight.
The Bible says, "Bring your burdens to the Lord. For He cares for you. His solutions are easier to bear than the weight that you presently carry in your own strength, ability and capacity."
The Bible goes on to say, "Cast off (throw off, discard, take off) the weighty things that are weighing you down."
Sounds like relief. Doesn't it? That's because it is. God's way brings relief by and by.
God's way leads to a peaceful state of being. You may be facing various tasks that require an overwhelming amount of your focus, effort, energy, resources, time, thoughts and emotions. But with God these overwhelming tasks become easier to do, to organize, sort through and even eliminate when deemed unnecessary.
Sometimes, even man find themselves volunteering to do unnecessary errands or tasks. You don't have to be superman all the time. You are human, too.
You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to show up to everything just because everyone expects you to. You don't have to be the smartest or the strongest man in the room.
Be yourself. Be aware of your limitations. Harness your work load, and don't try to be God. Just be the best version of yourself.
Set your schedule. Eliminate what is unnecessary to lighten the load. Mandatory meetings and events should be prioritized at the top of your list.
Make time for your family. Make time for your friends. But most importantly make time for God and yourself. Even men need a day just to chill and rejuvenate their spirits, souls and bodies.
If you follow this practical advice, you will see a tremendous turn around in your day to day life, mood and daily progress.
