Life In My 40's for KU Ladies... Being A Leader Beyond Your 9-5 & Seasons of Transition (DecemberEdition)/ Rashea@LLO2 Academy

Are you a leader beyond your 9-5? Sure you are, ladies. You lead your children and families. Some of us lead in our communities, churches, on social media platforms and in various organizations outside of a 9-5.

If you lead in any capacity on your job or career field, good for you. However, if you only define leadership by having a job title, not so good. Much is given much is required.

Above leading others, you are called to lead yourself. You are called to be a good example to yourself not just others. Have some dignity and class.

Do you care where you're going? Or are you making half-hearted decisions that bear half- hearted results? This not the life or leadership God intended for you as a lady in your 40's.

If you can't lead yourself effectively regularly, don't expect to lead others effectively regularly. As women, we are naturally emotional beings. Assess your emotions and keep them in check. Leading yourself on a daily basis, down a good path, requires balanced thoughts, emotions, and godly Wisdom. 

When age, life and tasks require you to transition to new seasons, take the right experiences and information. Approaching age, life, and tasks with the wrong experiences and information can lead to unnecessary turmoil, internally and externally. 

Those we lead beyond a 9-5 anticipate us to be graciously present. If you are always stretched, pressed and stressed out, you will not be very gracious to yourself or those around you. Don't put all your confidence in a rank or title and forget to be a decent human being.

Don't expect to get mercy and grace all the time, when you fail to give it to those you lead beyond the perimeters of a 9-5. Leading others is a tall order. However, leading yourself is a calling. This I have learned in my 40's.
