Life In My 40's for KU Ladies... Maintaining A Healthy Lifestyle (DecemberEdition)/ Rashea@LLO2 Academy
It is SO important to maintain balance and a healthy lifestyle in your 40's. Oh my God. So important.
Life brings about a change. And whether you know it or not, or admit it, you are changing. But I have good news, with God's help, you can maintain a good life when you take care of yourself.
I will admit by 39, I could tell things were changing. Whatever you do, don't panic. Stay in tuned with yourself and make whatever necessary changes you have to to maintain good health and the proper diet.
Life can actually get better as you get older, but you have to build an internal awareness and take action when you need to. Vitamins, water, better food choices, snacking in moderation, fitness, healthy connections and communication, and time alone with God and yourself really does help.
I would not necessarily label myself as a loner, because I don't mind being around people from time to time. However, I do enjoy being alone from time to time.๐๐คฃ I'm just saying. It has to be the life of an introvert.
"Alright. Tomorrow, you are going to get up and go to the gym, Rashea."
Tomorrow has arrived and I am still in pajamas and drinking coffee at 3pm in the afternoon. ๐คฃ๐.
I have to deal with people.๐ฎ๐จ I did that yesterday.๐คฃ๐ Okay. Maybe tomorrow. Yes, we will see.๐๐คฃ
Is it me being in my 40's or the introvert within me? Maybe it's the thought of giving more effort after giving a lot of effort the day before. Or maybe it's the excuse of, "I just can't today, God."๐คฆ♀️๐๐๐คฃ
The truth is, thank God another day does come to give it another go at life, dreams and goals. Yes, another day to actually push myself to meet my fitness goals and today's tasks.
Go today, Rashea. Tomorrow you can hide from the world.๐ซฃ๐๐คฃ. I know I am not by myself. Can I get a witness?๐คฃ๐
But on the days that I am all introverted, I have good news. No gym today. Instead, I spend some needed time with God. I cut back on the sweets, and I eat a hearty yet healthy dinner with God's help.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is not just about physical fitness. Being healthy is a spiritual, mental and emotional journey as well. Take time just to breathe and be a person of centered thoughts and focus.
Be healthy within not just physically. Be ready to meet life's demands. You can, when you maintain a healthy lifestyle and relationship with God. This I have learned in my 40's as an introvert.
