A Letter from the Creator and Founder
Dear KU Ladies:
Focus on you. Love you. Believe in you. Work on you everyday.
Taking care of yourself is so important. Be proactive. Learn yourself and know yourself well.
Listen to your intuition. I know we live in a culture where we depend heavily on doctor's and medicine. However, some things we experience can be cured just by changing how we eat and incorporating fitness and establishing a practical yet personal relationship with God.
I get it. Some people may not need to go to the gym regularly to stay fit. God bless their good genes. However, many of us must incorporate fitness and good eating habits to maintain our health and wellness.
I totally understand. Preferences. Beliefs. Everyone is entitled to choose what path they will follow. Whatever suits you. But as for me, being close to Jesus and being intuned with the Holy Spirit has transformed my life.
Please. Don't think that self-care is just about looking great or better physically. Self-care is about every area of your life. Be a good steward of your thoughts, emotions, decisions, actions and responses to the things and people you encounter on a daily basis.
Take time to rest. Take the day off and recover and reset from all the energy you give out, the effort you put forth and the stress and challenges that come your way. Dedicate, at least, one day to a weekly Sabbath (a day of rest and relaxation).
What things have gone lacking? I'm not talking about the dishes, laundry, spring cleaning, the gym or the weekly grocery haul. I am communicating you.
What things need your undivided attention? A spa day? A walk just to reflect? A nap. Oh my goodness, what woman couldn't use a nap?ππ
Girl, catch up on that book or mini series you like. Just take a day just to breathe and be. No busyness. No to-dos.
Self-care is you being intuned with you. Declutter your thoughts, emotions, heart and soul. Declutter your life of anything and anyone dumping the weight of the world on you. Just breathe...
Well, I do hope that this month of celebrating Women's Month was an absolute blessing. It was for me! I encourage you to go over the daily self-care affirmations and affirm your own beauty, progress, value and truth. I love all my KU Ladies around the world. God bless you!βΊοΈ
