Spring Forward April 2025 ... The Laws of Joy Series/ Start Right Where You Are- Rashea@LLO2 Academy
Wake up. Get up. Arise!
I have learned not give the entire day over to a bad day. It wasn't a bad day. It was a bad moment in your day, and we all have those moments.
There will be good moments and bad moments in your day, along your journey. How you respond or react to those moments will either propel you or hinder your progress.
The right perspective will help in every moment that you face (good or bad). Perception is another factor. Take a step back and analyze the moment you're in.
What can you learn? How should you approach the circumstances within your circumference? Is it something you can handle or is it beyond you?
These are all crucial factors to account for and reflect on when facing challenges, choices, making goals and taking corrective actions. The Book of Proverbs instructs us and cautions us to handle life and life's circumstances with care and consideration. To live recklessly and to strive aimlessly and tirelessly at the wind is vanity and not wise.
Where are you? No. Really hear me. Where are you?
So often we hear this and look around at our surroundings or social status. I'm not talking about that, because those things can change at any given moment. So, again I ask you where are yo? Where are you in your souls health? Where are you in your financial goals? Where are you in your relationships with others?
Where are you in your thinking? Is your way of thinking and believing setting you back or up for failure or is it empowering you to move forward and win? It's not about having a lot of things that eventually lose value. Life is about being a good steward over what it is you already have.
Life is more about quality over quantity. It's about being smart and practicing good stewardship. It's about understanding and acknowledging, "I'm not there yet, but I will eventually get there, wherever it is you are trying to get to in life."
Start right where you are, wherever you are on your journey or quest. Be patient, stay focused and have faith, believing exceptionally while working hard. Value the gift of saying no to what is not helpful or purposeful. Value the gift of rest which balances the busyness of life.
Some people feel and believe rest is laziness. However, it's not. Rest communicates a moment to recenter, refocus and just be at peace with God, yourself and a world of quiet stillness and calm in the present moment. Having mini moments in your day to rest increases your focus and productivity.
Laziness communicates, "I choose to be unproductive, helpless and goalless for an extent of the day." These moments add up to nothing. You're wasting your life away.
Be at peace with yourself, your life and your journey. What are your goals? Then focus on them.
What are your dreams? Then focus on them. Your goals and your dreams will require a different pace, space and tenacity.
You cannot afford to waste your energy on frivolous debates. Don't give your time, space or energy over to people, places and things who aren't living your life, dealing with your challenges or accomplishing the assignment you have been given to accomplish.
I don't like when people minimize others value. I don't like when people see others making progress and raise arguments and slander them to make them feel they will never measure up. Who's doing the measuring anyways? Flawed people or God?
Who's measurement really matters anyways? If God has given you your assignment, then why value the opinions of others over His blessing and promises over your life? Don't do that to yourself.
People who say and do hateful and hurtful things quite often are usually jealous, bitter and miserable with their own lives. Not everyone wants to see you win in life, but win anyways. Life is hard work, but guess what? Your hard work is paying off!
So, start right where you are. Do your best. And leave the rest up to God to make happen for you.
