Sons and Their God/ MOG Series June 2025/ A Man Who Prays- Rashea@LLO2 Academy
When it came time to pray, the disciples asked and insisted that Jesus teach them how to pray. What did they see? They grew up around prayer all their lives. It was the Jewish way, but Jesus prayed differently.
He prayed in solitude. He prayed passionately. Jesus prayed powerfully.
Jesus prayers changed lives, healed bodies, cured souls. "Lord, teach us how to pray, the disciples said." When you pray do you acknowledge God the Father as your heavenly Father?
Being that even Jesus acknowledged God the Father as greater than Himself, it would be wise for you as a son to do the same. You need a trusted Source that can move mountains for you, even heaven and earth, if needed. God can do that. Do you believe that?
Joshua prayed for the sun to stand still, and it actually did! That's a powerful prayer. God will be your Sun in the heat of battle. He will give you the victory over your enemies.
Peter was so saturated with the anointing of God from his prayer life that his shadow healed people. Paul had such an anointing on his life that when he prayed captives were set free. Demons even knew Paul's name. The disciples of Jesus prayed so fervently that they were filled with the Holy Spirit.
The power of prayer can do amazing things. A man that prays fervently will hear from God and see the power of God move mountains. Prayer is you communicating with God. It's a vertical relationship with the God that hears you, sees you and knows you as His son.
Take time each day to pray. Remember, it's you talking with God not at Him. Be open, honest and adamant.
You may not always have time to kneel to pray. That's okay. The proper way to pray throughout your day is having an upright heart posture towards God with an attitude of surrender.
It is humbling as a man to acknowledge you need God. But it's true. You do need God every single day.
Men need God. They need the Wisdom and guidance of their heavenly Father. Talk to God not at Him.
Let Him fill your soul and spirit with more of Himself and His nature. Let the Holy Spirit pray through you. What do I mean by that? Let the Holy Spirit lead you as you pray. He will give you what to pray for and who to pray for.
Prayer changes things. I believe prayer changes everything. Let me say it this way, prayer will change you thoroughly and completely. Surrender all in the posture of prayer, and see God's power work miraculously in your life.
