Protecting Your Competence


I will not affiliate myself with people who undermine my competence, abilities or experience. I will stay clear of argumentative and combatative people. I refuse to feel inferior or intimidated by others.

I refute and resist psychological brainwashing. I know who I am. My intentions are pure, and my capabilities are sure. 

I will not believe the lie that I am not good enough or intelligent enough. I am strong and capable. I am mentally focused and emotionally sound.

I surround myself with genuine people who believe in me. I gravitate towards people who believe in my potential and support my goals and aspirations. I am encouraged by their support.

I refuse to be jealous or intimidated by other people's stature, status and success. I support others and celebrate their potential, goals, aspirations and success. I am the equivalent of what I believe about me.

I am confident in God, my hard work, and progress. I live a life of integrity. I have good character.

God is with me. I am centered and calm. I am competent and capable, in Jesus' name. Amen.

No fog, no scattered-brain and no writer's block. I command them to go from you now, in the name of Jesus. Satan often times sends these kinds of attacks on people who are called to write and those who are called to release a powerful impact on others lives through their writings. The key to overcoming such attacks as those is to daily submit your thoughts to God. The Bible exhorts us to be renewed (daily, moment by moment) in the spirit of our minds (Romans 12:2). Daily submerging our minds in God's Word transforms our thoughts and thought patterns. We are filled and fueled with thoughts, imaginations and creativity that are powered and influenced by God. As we submerge our thoughts in the Word of God, our minds are submerged with the divine knowledge, understanding and the wisdom of God. My soul will be still. In God I rest. I will rest my soul in the presence of God, and be refreshed. I will not grow tired. I refuse to be bothered. I will not be weighted down with the cares, deadlines, budgets or pressures of this life. I am not stressed out. I will take time to just breathe. I will take time to be still. I will enjoy moments and the momentum of rest. I will come to the presence of God and find rest. I am a man of God. God is healing me. I am set free from the stress, tears and fears plaguing my life that are weighing me down. Like Abraham, Jacob and Joshua, I will run to God. I am on the Lord's side. As for me and my household we will serve the Lord. I find strength, hope, faith, direction, salvation and instructions in the presence of God. I will turn to God for guidance.
