Listening and Learning- The Applicable Learder

Okay, you are a leader. Great! Congratulations.

Join the rest of us who lead in some compacity, rather it be in our homes, communities, organizations or on the job. Leadership isn't just a location, rank or position. Leadership is a calling of the chosen and a responsibility.

The Bible says, "To much is given, much more is required." (Luke 12:48). Let's paraphrase that Scripture. When you've been entrusted with more, you are required to handle such responsibilities responsibly. Well, do you do that?

Leadership isn't just about you. It's, also, about others. It's about helping people better themselves. Do you do that?

Okay. You sat in the meeting. You heard the prerequisites. You've received a clearer vision of the direction the family, community, organization or team is heading to. However, does it really register with you? Have you've grabbed hold of the vision and prerequisites? Or are you just there? You're present, but you're not really an advocate for helping others beyond yourself.

To hear the prerequisites and vision and yet do nothing to initiate change is a waste of time. Fulfilling the prerequisites and vision requires application. These initiatives take time, energy, effort, teamwork and
selflessness.

What have you truly applied? Do you apply the prerequisites regularly? Do you as a leader expect from others what you aren't willing to do, give or say yourself?

Do you hold yourself and others accountable when important things don't get done as expected? Do you get upset when others do things better than you expected? What kind of leader are you? Are you an applicable leader, selfless leader, selfish leader, or a nonchalant leader?

Every vision and prerequisite starts with leadership. Leaders are at the core of every family, community, organization and workplace. If a vision falls flat, it reflects the leadership. If prerequisites aren't completed, they reflect the leadership.

Leaders remember, when you point fingers at your family's, organizations and teams unjustly, fingers are pointing back at you. Are people discontent with your application or satisfied and thriving under you? Leaders, who you're over should be blessed under you. They reflect your leadership, and you reflect their outcome.

Did you know that when a vision, family, organization or corporation fails, it's usually the results of leadership? Are your leaders applying or not applying the vision and prerequisites you give them? Don't have meetings, gatherings or a vision, if you're not going to apply the prerequisites.

When leaders fail to carry out the vision and prerequisites, the visions impacted, people grow weary or frustrated, and the leadership gets a bad reputation for not following through not just in their homes or organization but in their communities, also.

So, let me ask you a question why do we  apply the prerequisites? Why do we have visions? I'll explain in brief why we have prerequisites and visions. Prerequisites and visions are vital in making lives better, meeting the needs and desires of others, and being advocates for others within our families, communities, organizations and/or workplaces.
