The Blessing of Justification- Post It Global October Edition
The God Who Justifies
The God who justifies us also qualifies us. Redemption qualifies us. The Holy Spirit empowers us.
The Holy Spirit empowers us to do and to accomplish the great commission. If you have received Jesus and the Spirit of God lives within you, you are qualified. Jesus said, "The works you see Me do you will also do, and even greater." (John 14:12).
Was Jesus implying that we will be greater than Himself or possess more power?" No, not at all. Jesus was implying that we will have greater opportunities to share the message of Jesus and demonstrate the Kingdom of God, since we live in an era where life itself is advancing.
Jesus knew that justification from sin and eternal death would not only liberate the church then but, also, the church now. His atonement would not only liberate our souls but, also, our purpose and His cause. Justification is through Jesus, and those He justifies, He qualifies.
Those who have received Jesus are saved. Salvation is to be redeemed or restored from a fallen state of life. Your soul is liberated. You spirit is set free. Your body is preserved.
That's why you feel lighter and brighter. Those who give testament to receiving salvation often say, "They feel like a burden or weight has been lifted and taken away." Yeah, that's the weight and burden of sin.
Sin is burdensome. It weighs you down. Sin is enslavement to a state of life that is oppressive. Jesus said, "The weight of sin is from Satan not Himself. Jesus gives us life freely and the life He gives is given to us generously in abundance. (John 10:10).
Justification from sin doesn't give Christian's the entitlement to walk around like we're better than everyone else. Justification through Jesus empowers Christian's to DO better, to live better, and to make better decisions.
So how do we handle our privileges of a life of justification? We are to live our lives to honor God. A life that says, "God, I don't take the sacrifice of Jesus for my life and sins for granted."
Do you do that? You can! You should.
I encourage you to take a moment to Read Romans chapter 3. Let it speak to you. Discover who actually qualifies to be a Christian and to do great exploits for God. You might be surprised to discover that you qualify!
