AM RUTH DEVOTIONAL- DAY 16... PURSUING THE TANGIBLE PRESENTS OF GOD/Rashea@LLO2 Academy

Draw me near to your presence, oh Lord.
Draw me near beyond the rugged cross that I may gaze upon the presence of my God and sit at the feet of Jesus, my Lord and Savior.

A perpetual pursuit of Jesus is my lifelong goal. I desire to please Him with my thoughts, words actions and life's purpose.  It's a journey... the pursuit of Jesus that is, but it is worthwhile.

As we pursue Jesus, we are changed. We become more and more like Him. We are encouraged to allow the Word of Christ to have its home in our hearts and our minds, allowing it to dwell in us in all its fullness and abundance (Colossians 3:16).

God's Word changes us. As we come into the presence of God, yielding our hearts and souls to Him, He pours more of who He is into us, filling us up to full and overflow.

When Moses asked to behold the presence of God... God did not come in a vision or a dream. Moses tangibly encountered the presence of God, declaring... "Show me your face (Exodus 34)."

That encounter literally changed the physical countenance of Moses. He was a glowing reflection of his time with God, so much so that those that beheld him needed sunglasses.🀭 But that's the power of the glory of God. He causes those who dwell in his presence to radiate with His nature, power and righteousness.

God desires to change all of His sons & daughters as we abide in His presence one encounter after another. Can you encounter God throughout the day? Absolutely. And anywhere? Yes.

I have been at the gym, on a walk, at home,  and at the coffee shop when encountering the presence of God. It's something about the presence of God. When He walks into the room... You know its Him, because the atmosphere shifts.

There is a natural reverence and awe of God when He walks into the room. 😭 The ugly cry is right.🀭 I have poured out my heart to God numerous of times wondering where all the emotion was coming from?πŸ™„πŸ’
There's just something sweet about the exchange of my pain for His peace, my fears for the reassurance that God is at work beyond what I can see in the moment and my just enough for His MORE than enough.πŸ™πŸ™Œ

When we pursue the presence of Jesus, God draws near (James 4:7-9). Oh... how sweet is the pursuit of Jesus. Oh... how sweet is the presence of God.
