Compound Leadership/Rashea@LLO2 Academy

Compound leadership is derived of leaders with various skill sets, experiences, expertise and ethnicities. Well, at least they should be. A healthy leadership is composed of males and females with various skill sets, experiences, expertise and ethnicities.


Leaders and head leaders. Make sure your teams are well balanced and not lope sided. A well balanced diet is made up of a balance of all food groups. Your teams should emulate this same concept.

It is necessary that every leader around your round table or on your board of directors is sharp intellectually and skillfully in one area of expertise. One leader should be great at taking notes, another leader may be the creative one on the team, another is a thorough thinker, another is great with finances, another maybe great with putting projects together, another one maybe great at encouraging the morale of the team (especially when tasks are tedious, time consuming and challenging), and another leader maybe great at delegating and making sure the tasks gets down while reporting back to the senior leader on the progress of all team members and their initiatives. Leaders and leadership's are impactful in many ways.

Leaders and leadership's are the nucleus of all organizations and corporations and your homes. If your team is failing, it reflects the leadership. If your team is thriving, it reflects the leadership.

Leaders, you have any obligation to support your teams who come to work everyday to make sure the tasks are done. Paying them is not enough. When workers know their leaders support them... they work harder and are more effective at their jobs and tasks. They are more apt to take the initiative to help the team get the work done effectively and efficiently.

Leaders. Are you and your teams on the same page? It can be a mess when one leader says one thing and another leader is communicating something else.πŸ™ƒ GET ON THE SAME PAGE IMMEDIATELY!

When leaders are communicating different things to the team, it can cause confusion and be a sign of leadership division. Leaders, may have their differences and their approach to leadership and tasks may be different, but those differences should never show on the floor, on the front lines or in the presence of employees or consumers.🀦‍♀️πŸ‘€

The Bible is clear, "A kingdom divided cannot stand the test of time. Eventually it will give way and collapse." Leaders who are having differences must deal with their differences out of public view and resolve their differences quickly. Unresolved differences that linger can result into festering problems beyond just them. 

Leaders and their leadership's should ALWAYS maintain a level of:


If any of those are lacking, your leadership's, organizations, corporations and homes will eventually collapse to its own ruin.

Leaders. NO EGO. Lead with confidence, but AVOID being cocky. 

Always remember, there is always someone just as talented and gifted as you or than you who can do the job you are doing just as effective without the ego. Never make others feel inferior, even if you are superior to them. Treat your team with respect, then being respected will come much easier.

So then, what is compound business? Compound business is when CEO's possess more than one business endeavor. They have multiple business endeavors under their business chain. 

We call this multiple streams of income. This is great, but CEO's make sure you have the right leaders in place to run your compound businesses or you will be out of business.πŸ™ƒ Your leaders on site are your eyes and ears and represent you when you are not present. Make sure they represent you well. 

Make sure you have some level of a healthy relationship and mutual understanding with these leaders. Commit to communicating with them regularly. Set up meetings and time frames, but commit to communicating. You need to know what is going on with your compound business endeavors. Your leaders need to know what you are thinking and what your vision is for as they are overseeing it.


Your profit is affected by your commitment to communicating with your leadership. It is difficult to run any endeavor effectively, if their is no insight or a lack of effective communication. Compound businesses and leadership's that succeed and excel are a direct result of an effective commitment to leaders communicating with their teams and one another. When you know what is required of you... you can effectively do the work.

Just think about how you feel when you are expected to complete a task, but there is no sense of direction to get the task done? Who is communicating, or who failed to comminicate? Then, leaders, don't get upset when the task isn't complete to your level of expectation. You failed to communicate your expectations.🀦‍♀️πŸ™ƒπŸ‘€ Let that sink in.

Leaders don't just sit back and collect your checks and dividends. CHECK ON THE WORK. CHECK ON YOUR TEAMS. SHOW THEM YOU REALLY CARE ABOUT THEM AND NOT JUST THE PROFIT.πŸ™ƒ Let that sink in.

The inverted method of leadership, I so passionately speak about, is leaders and leadership's caring about their teams BEYOND the round table or the board. Your teams should see you periodically not because someone is in trouble but because you care about them, the workplace conditions and how your business endeavors are coming along.

Who's teaching you? A woman and a leader who has seen a lot over the years in leadership. A woman who has well over 20 years of leadership experience. Leaders, stay humble, and keep learning.πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ’―
