Getting Better; Being Wiser/Rashea@LLO2 Academy

As an individual and leader, you have an obligation to get better. Take the initiative to fine tune any weaknesses you may have or see. Don't ignore your weaknesses, as I have heard some encourage.πŸ‘€πŸ€¦‍♀️ Your weaknesses can be your downfall, when and if ignored.

Did you know that a weakness can become a strength, if you take time to improve it? I have heard people encourage people to live off their strengths and ignore their weaknesses. Thinking to myself, "Why in the world would someone ever encourage such ignorance?"🀦‍♀️πŸ‘€

Some people thrive in seeing people struggle through their weaknesses, because it makes them look stronger. Usually, it's that person's area of strength that hides their own fragility. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Make sure that your strengths don't become your weaknesses. Life and God has a way of keeping us humble.πŸ‘€ Just keep getting better.

I believe in quarterly assessments of self. Assess, acknowledge and improve. Don't be excessively critical of yourself. Just be honest.

It helps no one to live in denial. We all know where we are falling short. Just improve.

Stop running from you. Stop chasing everybody around measuring where they fall short, and confront your own shortcomings. Self-reflection that leads to making the right adjustments is helpful and needful.

The Bible clearly says, "DO NOT JUDGE. For the measure of judgment you dish out, is coming back to you in just measure." It goes on to say, "Get the beam out of your own eye, and stop judging another person's speck." In other words, You worry about you. You have a lot going on yourself that you need to deal with and get under control in your own life.

God is not telling us to not speak up when people are close to the edge of destruction. However, He is telling us not to draw misconceptions or to assume to know, because often times we don't know what really is going on in other people's lives. Looking in the window and not regularly being in the house can lead to misconceptions and assumptions. Furthermore, misconceptions and assumptions can lead to unnecessary misunderstandings, frustration, insults and hurt feelings.

A good practice is to never assume. Always ask. We never know what people are working through or going through. Sometimes, a person can just be having a tough moment and we caught them in that moment... not seeing all the good moments they had before that moment.

Let God judge. Learn to pray for others. Talking about others unjustly is hurtful and unnecessary. What if it was you?πŸ‘€ Let that sink in.

Improving yourself is a journey. Your life will speak for itself. Just keep getting better.
