Leadership is a quality, but leadership is, also, a commodity. Leadership is an asset that enables you to access the principles and rewards of growing in leadership and being a good leader. Leadership is not the premise to flex your power alone but to empower others through your leadership to become good leaders themselves.
Your sustainability as a leader is the result of your effort to work on you. Personal maintenance of your character and skills is maintained through obtaining resources to help improve yourself. If you do not make the effort and take the time to improve yourself, don't expect others to do it for you. It is your responsibility to improve you at the highest level in regards to your vision, your mission and your character. You have to want to be your best self and do what is necessary to be that.
Are you disciplined? Are you self-controlled under pressure? Are you level-headed when obtaining success? These disciplinarians of leadership matter and are essential to you maintaining your success on the highest level and in the highest regard.
Discipline and diligence are imperative traits to have as a good leader operating in excellence.
Your progression and success level as a leader is derived from your ability to make the necessary adjustments to your vision, mission, goals and character. You must determine where you are going as God reveals it to you. Futhermore, you must determine what your top priorities are to get there.
Don't always wait around for people to jump on board with what you are doing. People usually wait to see how successful you will be before giving their approval or backing. If you wait on people to get behind you, you will delay your own progression and success. Find out what God wants you to do, gather the resources needed to carry it out, and do it at a high level. Get it done.
Persist in personal development to produce on the highest level as a leader. Go beyond just doing your job. Build character and the skills that will empower your entire life. Reach beyond the 9-5 mentality and aim for the 18 to 16 hour mentality.
