Prayer and Fasting Academic Exercise/Rashea@LLO2 Academy
King ________________ was the first noted believer to introduce us to biblical prayer and fasting.
We can trust that God will help us fight our battles. God wants us to trust Him for justice when wronged. We can pray and fast to be vindicated when wronged, and God will respond valiantly.
The Bible warns us not to lean to our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge the Lord, and He will direct our path (Proverbs 3:5-6).
When we depend on our own reasoning, we can misstep and go in a direction God never intended for us to go in. This can lead to frustration and derailment. Seek God first through His Word and through times of prayer and fasting. Be willing and ready to do whatever He says.
Is the enemy on your tracks? Run to God. Haman hated the Jews. History has it that it was an ancient grudge between Haman's people and the Jews dating back to King Saul.
God instructed King Saul to destroy the Amalekites, but he spared King Agag and all the best of his land. God quickened the Prophet Samuel with the news of Saul's rebellion against the instructions of God. In 1Samuel 15, the Prophet Samuel was sent to rebuke Saul and to notify him of his demotion as king of Israel. Samuel finished the job of carrying out God's command, but years later Haman the descendant of Agag, King of the Amalekites appeared.
Esther and the Jews were suffering from the disobedience of a rebellious kings who were bent on doing things their way. It took prayer and fasting to overturn the revenge and hatred of Haman. He suffered the penalty that he plotted for Mordecai a righteous man who eventually rose to power in his place.
God hates injustice. He valiantly fights for those who suffer from injustices. It may take a while, but eventually God repays the evildoers.
In the Book of Joel chapter 2, God summons the people to stop their daily routines and pray and fast corporately for divine alignment and restoration of the land.
We can trust God to bring complete restoration to our lives through times of prayer and fasting. God wants to heal the land, but we must first turn our hearts back to God in holy submission. The rewards are overflow and abundance in health, wealth, and spiritual vitality.
We can trust that through prayer and fasting, we can overcome all manner of evil and temptation. The Bible tells us, " If we face anything that becomes too much for us to handle in our own strength, God will make a way of escape, so that we can continue on in our journey.
Jesus, also, encourages us to cast all our burdens on Him for He cares for us. He promises to give us His peace in place of any stress and over exertion that we may feel or be experiencing at the moment (Matthew 11:28-30).
Prayer and fasting are a blessing. Isaiah 58 teaches us what kind of fasting is not and that is acceptable to God. Isaiah 58 teaches us exactly why we fast and pray. God does not want us to call a diet a fast.ππ€¦♀️ Prayer and fasting is utilized to bring the Kingdom of God to earth with signs, miracles and wonders.
