Emotionally Healthy Spirituality with Peter Scazzero... Healing the Inner Me God's Way/ Rashea@LLO2 Academy
Emotionally Imbalanced
Respecting Your Full Humanity -Peter Scazzero
The holistic human being is made up of 5 distinct parts that cohesively work together to make us a holistic individual that is undivided in spirit, soul and body.
The 5 Distinct Components of a Holistic Individual:
.Social
.Intellectual
.Spiritual
.Physical
.Emotional
Peter Scazzero says, "God made us as whole people, in His image (Genesis 1:27). That image includes physical, spiritual, emotional, Intellectual, and social dimensions. Ignoring any aspect of who we are as men and women (males and females) made in God's image always results in destructive consequences- in our relationship with God, with others, and with ourselves. ...An individual who is emotionally underdeveloped is not always obvious. Over time, as we become involved with them in our interactions, that reality becomes readily apparent."

Unhealthy emotional spirituality causes imbalance which I call the void. This communicates a feeling of emptiness, feeling lost, incomplete or the feeling that something is missing or wrong.
Many people live many years with the presence of the void. Some people never overcome the void. Overcoming the void you feel inside starts with:
.Personal assessment.
.Acknowledging there's a void.
.A decision to take action.
.Daily prayer coupled with the faith to conquer the void.
.Following through with your decision and plans.
Voids leave you vulnerable to emptiness, codependency, bad decision making, feelings of loneliness, people pleasing, depression, anxiety, moodiness, bouts of anger, low self-esteem, extremities of needing too much attention, fears of being left alone, indecision, conflict, abd unreasonable asks, expectations and desires.
Overcoming the void is realistic and possible. However, it will take some due diligence. You have to do the work. You have to do your part.
God made each of us to be holistic. That was His plan from the beginning (Genesis 1:26-18). However, Satan's sly plan got in the way of God's holistic plan for mankind (Genesis 3).
Do you know how the void began? Genesis 3 reveals it begin with:
.A conversation.
.A question that led to mankind questioning God's instructions and His will.
.Bad decision making.
.Exposure to what really happened.
.The changing of mankind's fate without God.
The void needs God. A person feeling the void needs God's help. Call in the Expert.
Do you feel depleted and defeated?
Lay down the void.
Do you feel vulnerable and desperate?
Lay down the void.
Do you feel easily agitated and overwhelmed?
Lay down the void.
Do your emotions and thoughts feel scattered and inconsistent?
Lay down the void.
Peter Scazzero communicates that the Daily Office of time with God throughout your day is helpful to overcoming the void.

There's no one way to do the Daily Office. The Daily Office is different for everyone. It is a emotional and spiritual practice that is configured to fit each one of us according to our personality type, daily schedules and lifestyles.
Peter Scazzero says, "Stopping for the Daily Office and Sabbath is not meant to add another to-do to our already busy schedules. It is the resetting of our entire lives toward a new destination- God. It is an entirely new way of being in the world. ...When done as a "want to" rather than a "have to," they offer us a rhythm for our lives that binds us to the living God."
