God-Centered Leadership 

God-centered leadership realizes and acknowledges that God is superior to all. It's not a question of is God superior? It's the realization that God is superior to all.

God doesn't need validation from humanity. It is God who clarifies and validates the authenticity of our calling and leadership not the other way around. God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. 

God justifies and qualifies whom He deems is fit for His work. Jeremiah expresses his feelings at the beginning of his ministry. He felt he wasn't ready to speak out on God's behalf, but God knew He was. 

Leadership is a journey of becoming. We grow into our roles through skill development and experience. Not everyone is a natural born leader, but everyone has the potential to become one.

God-centered leadership isn't about being religious or pious. It's about a commitment to build oneself and others up through the application of godly principles and following the rules. There's nothing wrong with adjusting the rules from time to time, but godly principles should guide those adjustments, expectations and exemptions. 

The Bible cautions us to maintain the established landmarks (values, vision, etc.). When leaders and leadership get too far away from the essentials and origins of leadership and life, they are bound to lose sight of the vision and what really matters. God-centered leadership reminds us that God and people matter. Kings ruled knowing God was their foundation, and that the people and land were their mission and responsibility. 

When leaders lost sight of God and the well-being of the people, the nation was either destroyed or given over into the hands and rule of foreign leaders. God doesn't play around with leadership. It means more to Him than just occupying a seat of power.

Leaders are responsible for lives, families, and people's well-being, not just their own lives. God-centered leadership shapes our perspectives and how we perceive things. Our perspectives and perceptions should align with the values of God's Word not just our own preferences, opinions, social circles, or biases. These things can be misleading and restrictive. 

God's Word reminds us that all people are created equal. All people hold value. All people deserve a chance to reach their full potential without limits as they show resilience, commitment, and unity among other people and leaders.

Leaders prayed before they appointed leaders, and we should too. God told Moses through Jethro in Exodus 18 to choose skilled, stable and highly capable leaders to lead the people. We have to be careful that we're not choosing people on the basis of education with the absence of good character. 

The Bible doesn't specify. But based on the historical archives of Moses in the book of Exodus, I do believe he prayed about what leaders were the best fit to help him. Moses was a highly skilled leader, both socially and interactively. Moreover, he was, also, a praying man. Therefore, he chose leaders who could be a reflection of that among their tribes.

Many people have the talent to lead, but they lack the character to sustain their leadership long-term. God-centered leaders don't get tired of doing the right thing, even when others do. They pray to stay the course, even when its hard to.

God-centered leaders choose God's Word as their road map, God's power as their source, and God's grace as their comfort. They're not afraid to admit they need God's help along the way. Furthermore, God's never too busy to step in and help those who seek Him. 

When God-centered leaders prayed in the Bible, God answered them. When they sought Him, they found Him. When they stepped out in faith, God led their way.

Leaders prospered and succeeded, because they put God first. They prayed and made God a priority. They weren't ashamed to ask God for guidance or help as they navigated through life and leadership. 

The children of Israel were often blessed, because leaders were God fearing and God centered leaders. The nation of Israel, also, failed more times than not when leaders weren't God-centered and God fearing. As a leader, you can't expect to get God results, if you fail to get God involved. 

You must understand that good results, aren't always God results. God results will lead to resolve and blessings in multiple ways and areas of your life and the lives of others without restrictions. While good results are rewarding, they can be temporary and limited to only specific situations.

God sees ahead of schedule. He's unlimited in His genius, perspective, and creativity. Therefore, He can create resolve, results, and relief up the road ahead in multiple ways before we even get there. 

He is empowered to create answers, ideas and solutions ahead of time. Who doesn't want answers already created? All you have to do is apply them when and where they're needed along the way. 

The children of Israel were often blessed, because leaders were God fearing and God centered leaders. The nation of Israel, also, failed more times than not when leaders weren't God-centered and God fearing. God-centered leadership isn't a religion nor is it about being religious. God-centered leadership is simply communicating to God, "I can't do this without you. Your way is perfect and it's perfecting the imperfections of my personality, perspective, and perception.
